We entered hyperspace with the Renaissance ready to stop the remaining fleet from escaping from us as Lord Vader launched his assault on the rebel cell that was aiming for their command ship.
In order to prevent the Corvette and fighters from escaping from the two star destroyers across from us, as soon as we left hyperspace, we started to massacre them. Although the fighters' remnants were destroyed, one of the corvettes was able to protect itself from our firepower and successfully elude us by using the remains of the other ship.
All that's left is the freighter Ghost, which is pursuing Lord Vader in an attempt to destroy him. However, when they get to our firing range, we manage to make them dodge our shot, and miraculously, they manage to escape just as the two star destroyers are about to close in on them, hitting hyperspace and making their getaway.
This troubles me since I never let a rebel disappear from view because I know that once a ship is gone, they will reappear in large numbers. As I board a shuttle to have a debriefing with Agent Callus and Admiral Konstantine on his flagship, I'm thinking about my ship and how, despite our superior firepower, we still won't be able to defeat them.
Admiral Konstantine and Agent Kallus greeted me with a smile upon my arrival at the bridge and ship, respectively, but I wasn't feeling well because the mission to destroy the rebel cell was a failure. Agent Kallus informs Lord Vader as he enters the bridge that the rebels are on the run due to the destruction of the command ship, but I am confident that they will return with even more allies.
We are instructed to clear the bridge after Agent Kallus concludes his statement because, I believe, they may be having a private conversation with the Emperor. I will respect their privacy and not intrude. Meanwhile, I think it's time to start building my own flagship that reflects my firepower style.
Upon arriving back at the Renaissance, I made the decision to compile a log and provide an update on the circumstances to Colonel Yularen and Command. "Colonel Yularen, I regret to notify you that during the skirmish, only a freighter and a corvette managed to escape from my grasp."
"That's excellent news that the rebels will be fleeing, but for the time being, you'll need to be somewhere else because there seems to be more rebel activity around Kashyyyk. You'll need to destroy the cell, track down the leaders, and put them to death. Good luck." I gave the order for my ship to enter hyperspace and head toward the Kuat Shipyard in order to resupply as soon as the transmission was cut.
After arriving in Kuat and replenishing our supplies, we immediately proceeded to Kashyyyk to look into this rebel activity. According to reports, a group of rebels is aiding the wookies in breaking free from their captors and supporting the rebels in their conflict with the Imperials stationed on the planet.
I've been told that Saw Garera, the rebel leader in question, is a natural rebel who always rebels against something during the clone wars. He uses outdated clone wars equipment and vicious tactics in all of his battles against us, so I will have to drive him away and give The Empire back control of the planet.
This time, we have to fight fire with fire in order to win this battle. When we get to Kashyyyk, we engage their flag ship, a stolen Nebulon B frigate, and send out the Storm Squadron to deal with the fighters.
We chose to soften our landing by conducting an orbital bombardment as soon as the frigate was destroyed in order to demonstrate fear and debilitate the forces below. When we are at a safe distance, we open fire on our adversary, destroying both the building and the enemy below.
For fifteen minutes, we didn't stop pouring fire on our adversaries until the ground was completely covered in flames. I launched probe droids to scout the area because I was not going to fall for their tricks and be ambushed when I got closer to the planet's surface.
After verifying that the probes had discovered destroyed LAAT fighters and gunships, I dispatched a commanding officer and stormtrooper force to capture the survivors. Though Saw Garrera's resistance ended in Kashyyyk, it was confirmed that he had escaped our grasp.
Once I've cleared the area and secured the planet, a fleet arrives to assume control of my place. Colonel Yularen receives my report on the situation, which I also include about my personal project, which I request in the unlikely event that the Renaissance is destroyed and I need a replacement. At that point, I show him a schematic of a prototype warship that I plan to use as a test run in the future. Procurator-class Star Battlecruisers are used as one-man armies against multiple opponents, overwhelming them with massive swarms and firepower. It is, to put it simply, overpowered and overgunned.
Colonel Yularen was interested in this, but since my ship was one of the older but refurbished ships, he decided to back my proposal. It will be built in secret, only known to me and Colonel Yularen, and will take place in the next month after the next batch of ships is completed in Fondor.
He also tells me that I have to report to Coruscant for a debriefing with other ISB officers at the headquarters for the time being. As a result, I'm hoping nothing too serious will occur, since his briefing to the other officers indicates he has received an update from the emperor.
