SMIRA'S POV

Today's weather is so nice and comforting. The sunglints spread all over the library making the old brown walls and shelves and beaches like old money. The sun's glimmers fell onto my book and it made me smile. I love the time of sunset. How slowly the sun rays turn into a golden sheen then pinkish orange and then finally dark blueish turns into black beauty.

I was sitting in the library past two hours. I saw the time and it showed 4. The last lecture was in 20 minutes. Keeping the phone I went back to my studies. Exams are in less than a week.

"I knew you would be here" Mia's voice came. I looked up and she was all dressed in a cute dress.  Her hair is in an updo. She was holding two cups and kept one in front of me.

I took a sip and the sweet sugary taste of peach burst into my mouth. I grinned at her like a child and Mia laughed pinching my cheeks.

"Which subject you are doing?" Mia asked. I showed her a biology book and she fake cried. "How's your husband?" she teased. I raise my eyebrows at her and she smirks.

"He's your Professor and mine too" I replied.

"There's a difference Smi. He's just my professor but he's your professor and husband too" The way she laughed made me tickle her till she apologised for her childish behaviour.

Mia's phone started to vibrate and the 'demon'  name flashed on the screen. She immediately turned her phone down, ending the call. I cleared my throat putting my hand on my cheek, facing her.

Mia avoided looking at me but after min when I was still staring at her she groaned in annoyance. "Will you stop looking at me? It was a spam call okay?" she said, her voice cracking in nervous.

"Well, do you save spam calls as demons?" I asked her lowering my voice. Her eyes widened slightly and she was fiddling with her fingers.

Mia groaned again and it made me almost laugh. "It was your brother-in-law" she replied, looking anywhere but at me.

I registered what she said and I dramatically gasped. "Kian?" I said like I was shocked. I knew something was going to happen from the first eye contact  It was obvious. And the way Kian kept coming one day after in weeks answered my doubts.

"Why he is calling you Mia?" I asked, continuing my act. Mishtha looked at me, eyeing me.

"What a bitch You are Smi. You knew and still acting dumb" she said huffing. And that's when I laughed. Seeing her irritated face and cheeks blown in anger made me laugh even more.
