"You really outdid yourself," Heather commented as we walked into Natalie's room and saw her bulletin board of all the other competitors.

"Oh, well you know what I always say, 'Preparation beats perspiration.'"

"You have never, ever said that." I chime in.

     "Just sit down already,"

Heather sighed as we sat down on Natalie's bed.

"Well if one of us is gonna win we gotta do our homework,"

"Yes, Ms. Williams." Heather mocked, I let out a slight laugh.

"Starting with the players we think are most likely to win."

"Ray Hall, everyone's betting on him. He's reckless, fearless. He's not afraid of pain."

"Also, he might be a psychopath." I add.

     "Ooh, also that." Natalie nodded.

"And he's a legacy. His brother Luke won the game a few years ago." Heather reminded us.

"What do we think of Tyler Young's chances?" Natalie asked.

"Slim to none, he doesn't know his ass from his elbow." I shook my head.

"I don't know, I mean, you're the one who used to date him," Heather laid down on the bed.

"I was a sophomore, anything you do before junior year can't be legally held against you." Natalie defended herself.

"Besides, uh, we hooked up a few times."

"Well, I have five and a half." Heather nodded.

"I still put Young at 50/50." Natalie agreed.

     "Really?" I asked shocked.

"Well on one hand he's too dumb to be scared of much," Natalie said.

     "True," I nodded.

     "On the other hand..."

"That tribal tattoo is a sign of weakness." Heather added.

"Ah, I was gonna say he doesn't need the money."

"It's a good thing that Adam Lyons is up there, 'cause he's basically just a walking appendage." Heather stated.

     "Totally," I agreed.

"What about Troy Van?" Heather asked.

"Mm, Troy Van." Natalie looked over at his picture.

"I mean if you can wear lip gloss in Carp, Texas, then you've got to be kind of a badass."

"Good point," Natalie agreed with Heather.

"I think Shawna Kenny could be a problem. Her brother, Hunt, is coaching her."

"And she's just so fucking cool," I added.

"Last but not least..." Natalie looks at me.

"The new kid, Dodge Mason. Mysterious backstory, motivation unknown, weaknesses undetermined. Potential love life in the works,"

     "Nat," I groaned.

"The perfect swipe right for Lilia," Heather smiled over at me as I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, let's start getting ready for tonight." Natalie smiled.

"Lilia, you can use the bathroom first." Natalie told me,
