"Ms. Sloan," A nurse shook me awake.

"Hm?" I grunted, rubbing my eyes.

"He's up, you can go see him if you'd like." She informed me.

I shot up out of my seat and walked into his room.

"What a stupid place to throw a party!" His mom scolded him.

"I know," He looked up at the nurse as she took his blood.

"Lilia," His mom smiled at me, Dodge jolting his attention up to me.

"Hi," I smiled down at Dodge.

"That's all for now." The nurse informed him, walking out of the room.

I walked up to him and hugged him tightly.

"I'll give you two some privacy." His mom closed the door behind her as she walked out. I sat down on the bed across from him.

"I was so scared," Tears rolled down my cheeks.

"I'm alright." He grabbed my hand.

     "But what if you weren't?"

"Come here," He pulled me closer, laying down on the bed as I now laid on his chest.

"When are they letting you leave?" I asked.

     "Tomorrow," He sighed.

"I'm glad you're okay," I wiped away my tears.

"Can't kill me that easy," He joked.

"Is Heather okay? I heard about what happened to her." He asked.

"Yeah, I say her a little bit ago." I nodded.

"How long have you been here?" He asked.

"Since they brought you in," I confessed.

"You should go home," He rested his head on mine.

     "I don't want to," I hugged him.

"Go home and rest and I'll see you tomorrow. Okay baby?"

"Ugh, fine." I rodded my eyes, giving him a soft kiss before I walked out of his room.

"Thank you for looking out for him." His mom told me.

"You have an amazing son," I nodded.

"You saved his life last night," Tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

"I'll forever be grateful for that." She hugged me.

"We haven't heard from the judges in like a week," Heather reminded us as we all sat on Natalie's bed.

     "I know," Natalie sighed.

"If they call of the game, we're fucked." Heather shook her head.

"You wanna keep playing?" I asked her.

"Well, I don't wanna stay in Carp. You know, I wanna apply to a real college. And I wanna..." Heather paused.

"I wanna have a dorm room, and a roommate from a different state. And I-I wanna see people that I haven't seen every day of my fucking life." She explained.
