I knocked on the door of Dot's Diner, watching through the blinds as Dodge opened the door."Hey, can I come in?" I asked.
"Yeah," He stepped aside, letting me in before closing the door once again and turning the open side off.
"Do you want a coffee or something?" He offered.
"No, I'm okay. Thank you though,"
I sat down at one of the tables and pulled out a map of Spurlock's farm.
"What's that?" He asked.
"Spurlock's farm,"
"We have to come up with a plan, there are traps everywhere." I explained.
He pulled the map toward him, studying it.
"So, what do you have in mind?" He asked.
Dodge and I picked up Natalie and Heather and were now on the way to Spurlock's farm- Natalie send me a smirk as she saw Dodge and I holding hands, I just rolled my eyes at the girl.
"Time flies, so fly like the crow to reap future treasures from wars long ago. Take one of these tokens along when you leave and send proof in pictures to me by midnight." Diggins said- a bright light flashing in his face.
"Ray, can you please stop that!" He shouted.
"Um, translation... please?" Drew asked, not understanding Diggins riddle.
"Drew, I wish I could help you, but the puzzle is a part of the-"
"You're supposed to steal something!" Summer interrupted.
"Thank you, Summer." Diggins muttered, annoyed.
"So... we have to go inside the house?" Drew asked.
"Illegal entry... it happens every year." Heather added.
"Hm, student becomes the master?" Natalie smiled.
Me and Dodge gave each other a strange look, were Heather and Natalie working together?
"You can choose the cornfields or woods to get to Spurlock's. And 'cause we didn't complete the last challenge; the judges decided it was unfair to award or deduct any points."
"Wait how is that fair, some of us actually had to cross," I asked. Dodge reached out and grabbed my hand- trying to calm me down.
"Yeah, but not all of us," Natalie snickered at me.
"Yeah, I had to cross Diggins" Ray added.
"Rankings are the same as they were after the first challenge," Diggins explained.
"Also, since the cops busted up, no more spectators."
"We're still missing Tyler," Summer noticed.
"He'll be here," Ray informed.
"Okay, well- just sneak in, steal something, get out and then take a picture. And send proof to Diggins by midnight." Summer explained.
"This challenge is worth 50 points, all or nothing. You need 150 in order to make it to the next challenge, so give it all you got."
"Good luck," He wished us.
"And Spurlock's a nutcase. Like supposedly the whole place is booby trapped so just try not to die," Summer reminded us.
"You ready?" Dodge asked me.
