I changed into a white sundress with red flowers and curled my hair before putting it in a half up half down hairstyle.
I checked my phone, it was 6:15, Dodge should be here soon.
I slipped on my shoes and walked out into the living room.
"Why are you dressed up?" My mom asked.
"I'm not dressed up?" I questioned.
"Lil, you haven't worn a dress in years."
"No, I wore one at graduation!"
"But before that," She rolled her eyes.
"Fine, I have a date with Dodge." I sighed.
"I knew something was up between you two!" She squealed.
"It's not a big deal! It's our first date," I shook my head.
"This is a huge deal, Lilia! He's a cute boy!"
"Mom-" I was cut off by the knock at the door.
"Oo, is that him?"
"Act normal," I told her, walking over to the door and opening it.
"Hi," I smiled.
"Hi," He reciprocated the smile.
"Uh, I brought you these." He said, holding out a bouquet of flowers.
"Thank you, you really didn't have to,"
"Mom, can you put these in a vase please?"
"Of course, honey," She grabbed the bouquet from my hands with a wide grin.
"Hi Ms. Sloan," Dodge greeted my mom.
"Hi, Dodge! Lilia and I were just talking about your date!"
"Mom!"
"Yeah, I'll make sure she's home at a reasonable hour," He nodded.
"I like you, Dodge." My mom admitted.
"Okay, we're leaving now." I said- grabbing his hand and dragging it out to his car.
We pulled up to Mapleside and Dodge pulled a picnic blanket out from his trunk, we found a spot and set up.
"So, about last night?" I asked.
"I mean, it's pretty obvious we like each other." He smiled.
"Not to me, I denied the thought of you liking me anytime my friends brought it up." I laughed.
The sun was just about to set, the rays of orange casting upon Dodge's face.
"You talk to your friends about me?" He asked- I nodded in response.
"Everything I said last night was true, I meant every word." He grabbed my hand. Our eyes locked.
"You're the most amazing girl I've ever met Lilia, I love being around you. I just wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend?" He asked.
The grin on my face made my cheeks ache, I nodded and pulled him in.
Our lips met once again, I never wanted to stop- to be without them.
"Is that a yes?" He laughed as he pulled away.
"Yes, obviously." I laughed.
My phone buzzed from the spot next to me on the blanket.
Heather
Breaking and entering at Spurlock farm tomorrow at 10:00.
"Looks like we got our next challenge," I show Dodge the text.
"Yes, indeed it does, partner." He nodded.
"Let's worry about that later, don't focus on it right now." He pulled me in.
I laid my head on his chest, and we watched the sunset for the rest of the night.
I can't believe that this is my life.
A/N: Second chapter for today!! These two are a bit shorter but we get a lot of Dodge and Lilia scenes :)
