Stand By Me: The Tree house

The year was 1959, One morning Chris Chambers and Teddy Duchamp were playing cards in the tree house and I was just watching. We hear the signature knock and can tell it's Gordie Lachance, I let him in. "How do you know Frenchman's been in your backyard?" Chris says as he puts a card down and Gordie then sits next to, Teddy puffs his cigarette as he looks up 

"Hey, I am French okay?" Chris looks at his cards before responding "Your garbage cans are empty and your dog's pregnant" He says before we all start laughing except Teddy "Didn't I just say I was French?" Chris knocks on the table "I knock" He smirks "Shit..." 

"Twenty-nine" Chris says putting down his cards I lightly laugh "I know how this is gonna go..." I say before Teddy puts down his cards "Twenty-two" Gordie then rolls his eyes then slams his cards on the table "Piss up a rope!" I laugh along with Chris and Teddy before Gordie grabs his magazine and starts reading it while sitting next to me

 "Gordie's out. Ole' Gordie justbit the bag and stepped out thedoor." Teddy says as he laughs more and he continues playing with Chris as I watch and look over at Gordie whos next to me "Hey Gord, What's the magazine about" I ask as I look over 

"It's one of those Police Case magazines" he says as he looks up at me and flashes a grin he was my age and was a real nice boy. "Those magazines are great" I say with a soft smile "You can read it with me" Gordie says as we both start reading the magazine.

Teddy and Chris look at us and smirk "Gordie and Y/n Sitting in a tree K-i-s-s-i-n-g!" They both say laughing and I roll my eyes "Gordie so sweet of you to share with your girlfriend" Chris says nudging him in the shoulder "Oh piss off guys!" I say before they continue laughing and playing cards, While me and Gordie continue to read the magazine.

Teddy then knocks on the table "I knock" Chris looks up at him "You four eyed pile of shit" He says making Teddy smirk "A pile of shit has a thousand eyes" Chris then looks at me and Gordie before us three start laughing and Teddy looks at us confused

"What....What's so funny? come on I got thirty, What do you got?" He says before Chris sets down his cards "Sixteen" He says laughing "Go ahead keep laughing, You're down your ride pal" Teddy says before we hear a knock and me and Gordie look up from the magazine 

"That's not the secret knock!" I say "I forget the secret knock let me in!" We all look at each other "Vern" We all say before Chris moves the table and I let him in. "Wow, man! Wait'll you hear this." Another friend of ours Vern Tessio says panting 

"Let me catch my breath, I ran all the way from my house.." Chris and Teddy start singing "I ran all the way home!" Me and Gordie sing along to "Do Wah, Do wah!" We continue singing "Come on guys!" Vern says trying to interrupt but us four keep singing. "just to say I'm sorry (Sorry)" Vern rolls his eyes "You know what forget it" he says and gets up 

"Alright alright well listen, What is it?" Chris says as we all stop singing "Can you guys camp out tonight? I mean if you tell your folks we' re gonna tent. out in my back field?" Chris begins to deal out the cards again "Yeah I think so, Except my dads on a mean ya know? He's been drinkin' a lot lately" He says

"Gordie, Y/n what about you guys?" Vern says looking at me and Gordie who are still paying attention to the magazine "Yeah, Probably.."  Vern looks at me "Y/n can you go?" I shrug and look up at him "I think so folks won't give two shits just as long as I bring my inhaler they say I'll live" I say before looking back at the magazine 

"So what are you pissing andmoaning about, Vern-o?" He says as Chris knocks again "I knock" Teddy takes the cigarette out his mouth "What!? You liar! You ain't got no pat hand! You didn't deal yourself no pat hand!" Chris smirks "Make your draw, Shitheap" He laughs as Vern looks up at us

"You guys wanna go see a dead body?......"
