When Landyn pulled into his driveway he groaned. His dad was leaning against the railing of his crib while his mom paced back and forth. "Who is that?" Monica asked looking over to him.

"My parents. I told Carlos about Diego."

"Oh no." Monica mumbled. He looked over to her.

"You don't got nothing to worry about. They already love you Nica." He touched her thigh. Monica nodded as she opened her door. He got out of his side and his parents both stood up straight. Once Alicia and Ronald's eyes landed on Monica they both smiled.

"Where is Dallas?" Alicia asked excitedly.

"He's spending the weekend with his dad. Court ordered." Monica explained. Alicia nodded.

"That's okay. We're spending a week. I can't wait to meet my grandson." She smiled. "I'm so happy to meet you finally. We've been asking Landyn to bring the two of you to meet us. When we got the tickets to come here we got on the first flight."

Monica looked back to Landyn letting her eyebrow raise. He shrugged. "Y'all was supposed to tell me when you was going land." Landyn looked to his dad before sharing a hug with him.

"We old but we ain't senile. Your mom love using Uber so she can be in somebody business."

"We done met a lot of nice kids." Alicia shrugged. "Plus we wanted to surprise Dallas with his gifts. But we can do that Monday. Where are you two coming from? Is it date night?"

"No Saturdays are Dallas day for Landyn, our date night is Tuesdays."

"Then we get to spend some alone time with Dallas. Good." Ronald nodded. He looked to Landyn.

"Let's get yall inside. I'll take yall bags up to yall room." He moved Monica through his parents. She unlocked the door and then stepped inside. Landyn stepped aside to let Alicia in then stepped inside. His father would not allow him to stay outside while he went in. Respect was understood between them. Who the parent was would never be forgotten either no matter how old Landyn was.

Ronald stepped inside and looked over the home. He smiled as he looked at a picture of Landyn and Dallas together. "Is that Dallas? What do y'all call him?"

"Dali." Monica smiled. "But he doesn't mind being called Dallas either. I'm sorry we didn't meet you guys sooner."

"You don't have to apologize baby." Alicia laughed. "Landyn was getting his construction business off the ground. You were getting your therapy together. We understood completely. Besides I'm finally feeling better enough to travel." She nudged her arm.

"Oh God. I didn't forget about that. How are you feeling? Let's go get some lemonade in the kitchen." She grabbed Alicia's hand. Landyn watched as they disappeared into the kitchen.
"She doesn't know we're here for you to propose huh?"

"She shouldn't know that." He shrugged.

"You're upset with her."

"I'll get over it." Landyn grabbed his mom's bags. His dad followed him up the steps. "Our room is on the first floor. Yall will be up here with Dallas. He's going to make sure yall have everything yall want and don't."

"I can't wait to see how you are with him. You better not let that nigga make you feel no type of way either. This is your family. He's trying to get into it. Not the other way around Landyn."

"But if my woman is acting like she feeling something for this nigga, then what?" He asked honestly looking into his eyes as they both stopped.

"Women feel everything son. They shut feelings off, or tuck them away until it's impossible for them to ignore them. That doesn't mean that she loves him. She just has to deal with old feelings that she didn't bother to before." He shrugged.
