Laron looked over Murphy's number on his phone. He looked back to Zaria who was sleeping. Laron rose to his feet and stepped out of Zaria's room. "Where you sneaking off too?" Whitney asked making him look back. "Ready to run away are we?"

"No. I'm going to take a call."

"A private call I'm guessing since you don't want my sister to hear it." Whitney looked him over. Laron snickered.

"Chasity wanted her father in her life."

"We never told our sister to take him out of it"

"But you didn't do shit to make that be something that didn't happen either." He scoffed. "I'm apart of my son's life. Regardless of how his mother feels about me. You really think I should have stayed out of a woman's situation that I want to marry."

"You still want to marry her? I thought you got your payment."

"My company took the payment so that a judge couldn't pull the shit that the judge did." He spat. "She could have taken me off the case and put another on from the simple fact that payments were in place. I protected your sister the best I could when I really could have exposed what Chasity did." He mugged her.

"Y'all have left Zaria to figure out shit that she's not getting. It's not cute that she's holding onto Chasity for the simple fact that she's Murphy's. She's engaged to me just to be able to show him she survived without him. What the fuck about that should I stay for?" Whitney stood up straight.

"And the call?"

"It's Murphy. She's not ready to talk to him. Something I told her from the beginning. I'm not  insecure. There's nothing for me to hide from my fiancé either."

"Other than Murphy."

"I love Zaria. Sorry if that's something you never got to experience. But she will. As long as she allows me into her life. I'm going to do what's right for her and Chasity as much as I can. Chasity deserves everything Murphy has and more."

"What about a single mother struggling is attractive? Nothing. Especially with a nigga like Murk behind the child she has. He has money, and that belongs to Chasity. Not Zaria, you or me. Every move I've made with Murphy was for Chasity,"

"The only reason you and your sisters would have told Zaria to be with Murphy again is because he was taking care of all of you. We won't get into which one of you was trying to fuck him behind her back." Laron snickered as he turned around leaving Whitney stupid.

Laron went into the kitchen and called Murphy back. He took a seat on a stool waiting for him to answer. "You got any plans to form a bond with Chasity?"

"I do."

"Well right now her mom ain't in the place to make that happen. So what's up? When you coming to spend some time around her?"

"Tomorrow." Laron spoke with no hesitation. That's how he found himself back at Murphy's home. The night before had him feeling a little agitated but he pushed that to the side. Murphy opened his door and they shared a dap. He moved to the side to let Laron in.

Chasity looked at him and placed her hands behind her back. "Hi Mr Laron."

"Hi Chasity."

"Is mommy with you?"

"No. She's at home sleeping." He explained while Murphy closed the door. "I came to see you by myself. You okay?" Chasity nodded her head. Laron moved closer. He stopped a few feet away.
"Do you mind if I stay and spend some time with you?"

Chasity looked over to her dad. Murphy smiled as he shrugged. "It's up to you baby girl." Chasity looked back to Laron.

"I don't like sharing my mommy with your son." She admitted. "Does that mean you won't like me?"
