Murphy lifted Chasity out of his car. She didn't wrap her arms around his neck the way she usually would. He knew what Zaria said about how Chasity understood she was getting married but he still had to talk to her. He wasn't going to allow what Zaria said be the end all , be all when it came to Chasity.

Although he didn't agree with everything the judge said. He did agree with the fact that Zaria would let her personal feelings get in the way of him being a father to his daughter if it was her choice. He had to make his own choices for Chasity. Being sure that she understood he loved her no matter what happened in his friendship with Zaria was important.

"You mad at dad?" Chasity stared at him. "I think we should talk about me and your mom."

"Why did we have to leave?"

"We didnt. But dad was a little upset with your mom. So I thought it was best for us to come home."

"Your mad at mommy? Does that mean I can't go home with her?"

"Yes I'm mad at her. But it's not a lot and I'll get over it." Murphy explained as he closed the back door. "You'll always be able to go home with your mom. I would never stop that Chasity." He secured her a little better before walking them to the front door of his home.

Chasity wrapped her arms around his neck. He smiled as he looked at her. "I want to have what my friends have. Their mommy and daddy lives together." She looked into his eyes. Murphy nodded his head.

"When I was a kid I wanted the same thing. For a while my parents lived together. But then my dad he left out of nowhere."

"Why did he leave?" Chasity tilted her head to the side.

"I don't know. Well back then I didn't know. By the time he came back I was 16. I avoided having to see him." Murphy sighed. "But we ran into each other a few years ago."

"So he's back around like how your around me?"

"As much as I let him be." Murphy opened his door. He set Chasity down on her feet. She smiled as she kicked out of her shoes standing beside him. This was only their third day together but she was understanding that she did like to spend time with her dad. She looked up at him. When she told him she didn't like something he did something about it.

He didn't look so mean with his hair cut. She wrapped her arms around his legs catching Murphy off guard. "Thank you daddy.

"Why you thanking me?" He placed his hand on her back.

"You don't look so mean." She looked up at him and he laughed.

"Chasity just because a person looks mean doesn't mean they are. Sometimes maybe. But everybody has different lives and makes different choices. I cut my hair for you. But not everyone is going to change something because you say you don't like it."

She stopped smiling. Murphy closed his door and locked it. He held his hand out to Chasity and she took it following him into the living room. He sat on the couch then secured her into his lap so she could look at him. "Daddy can't change the fact that your mom is getting married to Laron."

Chasity's lip poked out. "I think you should understand that a woman should pick who she wants to be with. Your mommy picked Laron,"

"But I don't like him daddy."

"It's okay to share your mommy Chasity. She's still going to be the same mom to you." Murphy smiled. Chasity didn't say anything as a tear slipped down her cheek. He wiped it and sighed. "Look at daddy." She slowly moved her eyes up from her fingers. "One day your going to get married. Don't you want to be able to pick who instead of me doing it?"
