"He's proposing to her tonight?" Kianna asked as she paced her motel room. Something was wrong. She wasn't sure what but her nerves had been shot all day. Keys wasn't answering his phone. The last thing Kianna needed was for her brother to double back on their plan.
"He going try. But I got other shit planned for that nigga. Is your shit packed up? As soon as I got Dallas we can be out of here." Diego spoke.
"Where yall going?" Tyson asked making Diego turn around."To the water park. He finally got his cast off." Diego smiled.
"Shit swing back and grab me."
"For real?" Diego's eyebrow raised. "You wanna come with us?"
"Why not? Shit been cool between us. I always spent time with nephew." Tyson shrugged.
"Alright I'll come back to get you." He nodded.
"Bet." Tyson walked away from his doorway. Diego frowned as he moved to it and closed the door.
"Are you ready?"
"Of course I'm ready Diego." Kianna said in a dull tone.
"What's your problem?" Kianna thought of telling him it was him. He was her problem but instead she remained silent. "I'll be there in a minute. Fix your fucking attitude."
"Okay." She sighed. Diego hung up the phone and scoffed. He grabbed his duffle off the bed and stepped out of the room.
"Tyson you got a half hour to be ready man." He called out. When he didn't get a response he didn't worry about it making his way down the steps. Diego left his home not worrying about locking the doors. He made his way to his car and placed his bag into his trunk.
Before he knew it he was being punched from two different directions. His body was stuffed into the trunk. Diego went to swing but stopped mid air when he seen the two people standing in front of him. "Wassup Andre? That's your name ain't it?" Omari asked.
"Naw bro that's Tyson." Milo spoke.
"You thought you was doing something didn't you?" Omari laughed as he slammed the trunk shut. His smile and laughter disappeared instantly. "I'm about to rip this nigga apart. Take your stupid young ass home." Omari moved around Diego's car. He took the copy of his keys he knew Pete got for Landyn.
A scoff left Omari's lips as he thought about his dad floating around everyone but him. He didn't have time to dwell on his father right now so he didn't. Omari started the car and pulled away from the curb. As soon as he got to the first stop the passenger door opened.
Omari reached for his gun and Pete looked into the car. "Shoot me and I'm going beat your stupid ass."
"Man why the fuck is you following me?"
"Boy shut your stupid ass up." Pete scoffed as he got into the car and closed the door. He pulled his hood over his head not wanting Omari to truly see him. But the hoodie didn't matter. Omari had already caught a whiff of what he was on from his hoodie alone.
"You look bad." Omari spoke as he drove.
"But I'm here when you need me. That's what counts."
"Naw it counts when you always around at this point. You the most functioning motherfucker that I know. There's no reason you ain't in my little girls life bro. Fuck is you talkin nigga? Stop talking to me before I go in your shit Pete."
"Your bitch ass can play crazy with them other niggas. But we both know betterment."
"My daughter's mom died off that bullshit you on." Omari looked over to him. "She asking about you Pete. You was there then you just fell off. Come on bro. What I'm posed to tell her? All she got is you and me."
