"No." Diego slammed his trunk shut as his eyes met with his brothers. He looked him over. "Today is my day with Dallas. You should have came over here yesterday or the day before that."

"Monica ain't going choose you EVER."

"I don't give a fuck what she do." Diego spat bitterly. He had been trying to convince himself that all week. But it never became fact. He wanted Monica in the worse way, but she was being childish. Landyn handled everything between him and his son. He was over it and today he was going to speak with Landyn about it.

"I'm not stupid nigga. Dallas ain't either. He's going to realize sooner than later you're dealing with him for Monica."

"Fuck you Ty. I didn't do shit wrong to you." Diego unlocked only his door and got into his car. He started it thinking of leaving his brother but he couldn't. The doors unlocked and Tyson slid into the passenger seat.

"You supposed to be finding keys."

"I got somebody on that. They ain't came up with shit. But maybe they need some incentive to get it done."

"Like what?" Tyson asked.

"You wouldn't be with it." He shrugged. "Don't worry about it. I'll get it done." Diego looked into his eyes. "Stop following me. You're not going to like what I'm about to do. But it's going to get what we need done."

Tyson sighed. He needed Diego to get to Keys before something happened to him. Ty knew that Keys was suicidal. That he carried the burden of having to push his sister forward because she didn't have the voice or confidence to do so. She was a red He didn't want to lose his brother over Kianna's bullshit. Or even Andre's.

He and Dre were close but not close enough at times. Andre liked being able to tell a motherfucker what to do. To feel like the old head even though he was younger than him. Tyson didn't let that ego shit play into his relationships. With Keys they seen each other as equal regardless of their ages. They could tell one another anything.

Tyson needed to talk to his brother for the truth. He knew if Keys killed himself before he could get to him. They would never be able to know the truth about their friendship. It was just as important to Keys to have that reassurance as it was to Tyson who didn't have family until he was twelve years old.

"Alright. But if you hurt Monica, I'm going to kill you."

"Get in line nigga. Fuck out my car. I need to be on time."

"You doing good with him." Tyson mumbled before getting out. He didn't know that his words had pushed Diego through to picking up his son. He now had a confidence that he felt would help him with Landyn. Diego was in for a surprise when Monica stood outside of the school building alone.

He moved over to stand by her. "Hey." She spoke in her soft tone that always got to him. Diego looked over to her. She smiled as their eyes met.

"Your talking to me?"

"Mmhmm." She nodded once. "How are you?"

"A nigga straight." He shrugged. Monica looked back to the school. "Where's Landyn?"

"At work. He picked up a new contract so he's been a little busier." She explained. "Plus he was talking about proposing a few weeks agos but there's been no proposal." She huffed. Diego looked away from her swallowing the lump in his throat.

"Maybe he decided he wasn't ready for that yet. I mean you know how it is when you in the streets. Temptation and shit like that. Not saying nothing about him cheating either. I already know he's a good dude so he ain't getting into none of that."
