(Flashback)

"why do you care so much?" 14 year old Neon growled as he was backed up against a wall by his partner,the one that fought alongside him for the past decade,16 year old Chris.

"I care because..." but Chris suddenly cut off and just stopped talking

" I dont need you to protect me from her" Neon snarled,"I can take care of myself"

Chris came closer,way closer than Neon would ever allow anyone but Chris was always the one exception because they had been closer than Anyone could imagine.

"I can't stand it when she hurts you" he whispered,"I-i just can't let that happen"

Neon forced his tears back as he murmured

"Whenever you try to stop her,she hurts you too,she makes you suffer for my mistakes,my disobedience,I can't take it,I need you to let it go...please"

"I can't" Chris whispered and took a deep breath before continuing, "I-I l-love you neon"

The two went silent as Neons's brown eyes widened a bit"

"I-I love you too Chris"

Chris blinked with this melted look in his beautiful blue eyes and Neon smiled a little,he slowly moved closer making sure Neon was okay with it and then he took his face into his hands and... he kissed him,he actually kissed him,his soft lips claiming Neon's mouth.the latter boy just closed his eyes and flung his arms around Chris' neck and let Chris lift him up and wrap Neon's legs around his muscled waist.
