Chapter 21, just the beginning

The two boys made their way to the avengers tower, Will used his finger ID to unlock the door and the two made their way up to the lounge area where they would find the avengers.

The elevator doors open and mike and will stepped out into the lounge area.

"hey guys," will said 

The avengers turned and all smiled lovingly at will with sympathy in all their eyes.

"hey kiddo," tony said calmly, "how you holding up?"

will smiled softly in response. "I'm breathing."

tony chuckled softly at this remark. 

"you did good soldier," Steve smiled. "you made us all proud."

will smiled again. mike standing timidly behind Will, although he was trying to hide it as it was a sentimental and emotional moment, he was truly having a fanboy freakout. I mean come on! he was in a room with the Avengers!! how could he not?!

Will looked over at mike, saw his face and burst out laughing. 

"Right, of course! Guys, this is my boyfriend, mike wheeler, tony you've already had the pleasure of meeting him."

All the avengers greeted mike politely. 

"wheeler you say?" natasha asked, a hint of suspicion in her voice. 

"uhm, yeah? whyd you ask?" mike asked hesitantly.

"oh, no reason..just sounds familiar." she replied. "probably nothing though, maybe I saw your name in Wills S.H.I.E.L.D file and im just having an off day."

mike laughed awkwardly in response.

"so, what brings you two young mortals to our place of relaxation?" Thor asked. "and if it about the man you say is your 'father', rest assured young spider, he has felt the wrath of Odin, and more is to come."

Will smiled. "I dont even know what your talking about." 

"he's going through the denial stage of the process." Mike added quickly. "he's currently acting as if the whole situation was a weird dream he had from being on a lot of meds." 

"ohhh right, makes sense." Bucky chimed in out of nowhere. "Sometimes some things are better left in the past, forgive forget right?"

"if youre trying to make me forgive you for murdering my parents you can keep trying." Tony said blankly. 

"alright! jeez, steve forgave me for trying to kill him. plus not like your parents were the most in touch with..you know, reality." bucky mumbled. 

"mhm, say it with your full chest next time barnes." 

"guys are we really gonna argue in front of the kid whos dad just tried to kill him and his family?" bruce added quickly.

"my sister tried to kill me you dont hear me or the kid whining about it do you?" natasha added.

"same here." said loki

"jesus," mike whispered. "are all the avengers.."

"severely traumatised?" will whispered back. "why yes, yes we are." 

"lovely," 

"yup"

"want me to try and sneak a beer or two?"

"please,"

"on it my love," 

"you're my saviour" will whispered.
