There are times I would wonder

When I looked into your eyes

And asked myself this question:

" What do you see in me? "

I remember you once told me

That you found peace and tranquillity.

I'd often wondered how it was possible

When others only found silence in me.

Then I remembered us once sitting in a park,

Listening to the rustle of the autumn leaves,

And watched the warm breeze moving in sync.

Nature didn't need words to tell us

How to be present in its stillness

And to be calm in its simplicity.

I finally understood what you meant.

Where others only saw weakness,

You saw strength in my vulnerability.

You said that not everyone can bare their soul easily.

And that made you fall in love with me.

Where others have seen imperfections,

You saw them as another part of my body.

To you, these are just all the things

That makes me who l am as a human being.

So what do you see when you look at me?

There were times l have often wondered

Perhaps l shall never find out.

But that's okay as long as you love me.

Perhaps it shall always remain to me

The most beautiful mystery.
