They say you are what you eat

Although I find that hard to believe

But pain comes hand in hand with beauty

Perhaps this is why I must suffer for eternity.

I am far from being in love

With how you simply taste

Perhaps all I need is patience

Maybe let's not make any haste.

There are times I want to stop

Just abort the mission and leave

No apologies, no regrets.

How wonderful it would have been!

How I long to taste the Ambrosia!

To bask in the Cornucopia!

To finally be able to achieve the treasure

Of living the life of pleasure!

I want to believe in myself

That I will soon grow to love you.

Hopefully I can convince myself

That I'm not further from the truth
