One Dinosaur

Splash. Louise was asleep the next morning, she could finally sleep a bit more comfortably now that her wounds were properly dressed. And she was getting some good Zs in, but then heard....drinking? It sounded like water splashing, which wasn't unusual to hear because she was next to a waterfall, but it wasn't the sound of water falling....More like, the sounds she was making when washing herself off.

She didn't think much of it...Louise was comfortable, finally getting some good sleep, she didn't want to wake up. But she heard, honk! "Hm..." Louise quietly groaned, slowly opening her eyes and blinking a few times. A Sinoceratops dipped its beak into the water and began to indulge in the freshness of it. Louise's eyes widened at the sight, it was one dinosaur....A herbivorous one too, but still....a dinosaur. It wouldn't harm her, but she was surprised that there was only one.....

She was trying to remember if Darius had mentioned them not doing well alone, but that boy said so many dinosaur facts in one day that it was hard to keep track. She might've been confusing his fact with this dinosaur when he meant it for another, Louise could've swore he mentioned something when they were on the cattle drive, which turned into a complete disaster.....

"Not in a 'woo-hoo' mood...Darius." Kenji said as he sat back in a black spinning chair, leaning his foot up against the fake rocks that were in the living room of the camp. "Not after yesterday! Trekking through a rain storm will do that." Kenji added, glaring back to see Ben, who was sipping on the juice box. "We only had to walk because you crashed our gyrosphere!" Ben replied, pointing fingers and then he intensely sipped on the juice.

Kenji grumbled as he stared at Ben, "Not to mention, you had one extra passenger that did not want to be in that gyrosphere....." Louise said, bringing her legs on the couch and holding them against her chest. "Awe, c'mon! It wasn't that bad for you as it was for me." Kenji said, pushing off the fake rocks and rolling back into the green couch.

"But, today's a new day!" Darius said in pure triumph. "Kayak day! Who doesn't want to paddle alongside dinosaurs? Real dinosaurs! It's gonna be awesome, right?" Darius explained. "Where are Dave and Roxie?" Darius looked around. "The babysitters took off early and left this." Kenji rolled over to Darius and slapped a note onto his chest.

Then Darius quietly read the letter that Dave wrote. "We have to go talk to our boss, stay inside until we return...Draw, bond, whatever...The radio is set for channel 6 in case you need us. Stay inside, stay inside. Do not leave, Kenji, looking at you." Darius laughed, "Uh, sorry for the kids menus, it's all Dave had." Darius finished reading Roxie's translation.

"Do they understand how old we are?!" Kenji asked, "I mean, Wh—When was the last time you even saw a Crayons?" Kenji asked, continuing to spin around the room using the chair. "Today," Louise said, pointing out the obvious, just saying it to annoy Kenji. Ben flipped a piece of paper over to show them all a picture of him with blonde hair playing a game of chess with Bumpy....

"Hm, I have notes." Yasmina said. "Yasmina!" Sammy exclaimed, giving her a bump to the shoulder. Sammy then gasped once Brooklynn pushed opened the doors and stood in the frame with her arms crossed and a angered expression on her face. "Brooklynn....What's new on the internet, superstar?" Yasmina sarcastically asked her.

"I. Wouldn't. Know. Because when I went to get my phone from its charger, it wasn't there! Someone stole my phone!" Brooklynn yelled as she entered. "Brooklynn, who hasn't had your phone?" Yasmina asked. And then Ben, Darius and Kenji listed off reasons to why they had used her phone but claimed they hadn't touched it since then.

"I....haven't seen it either." Sammy said. "Really?" Brooklynn asked Sammy, glaring at her. "Hey, hey! It's okay! Since we're not kayaking till later, we'll have plenty of time to look for the phone." Darius explained trying to calm everybody down. "Oh, I think I know EXACTLY where to look! I also think whoever took my phone might be trying to hide some of things that are on it!" Brooklynn said.
