Home, maybe. A plastic cup floated in the distance as Sammy giggled with excitement, splashing the salty water on Kenji and they alternated between splashing each other. Darius, Brooklynn and Yasmina made sure everything was secure with Ben supervising.
Louise sat on the edge of the raft, not too far from Sammy, her legs crisscrossed as she watched Isla Nublar get smaller and smaller as they floated farther away from it. And the rest of them followed her lead, looking at the island that they once survived on.
"Goodbye, Jurassic World." Darius said before a faint image of Bumpy came running up to the shore line. Her bellows echo towards the raft that's working fairly well so far. "Goodbye, Bumpy.." Ben said disappointedly before hanging his head and sighing.
Kenji jumped up to his feet, "Woo-ho-ho! Ah! See ya never stupid dino island! You thought you could eat us? No way! You thought you could stomp on us? Think again!" He asked as he walked back and forth across the raft, pointing and making gestures towards Nublar.
"Yeah!" Sammy exclaimed, hitting Kenji on the back. "You thought you could crush our spirits? Impossible!" Sammy asked, cuffing her hands and yelling towards Nublar. "Woo-hoo!" The both of them exclaimed and laughed as they did their handshake that the two of them created.
"To be fair—The island did crush my spirit." Ben pointed out, looking to the side, placing a hand on his heart. "But then—I defeated Toro!" Ben triumphed. "Ugh, not again." Yasmina face palmed and groaned. "And I survived Toro!" Louise exclaimed. "We're both pretty special, Ben, but you don't see me replaying my Toro story over and over."
"Well, Bumpy likes when I tell it." Ben said, placing his right hand on his left arm. Yasmina groaned again before the water started to pick up, crashing along the bottom of the raft. "Um...Guys?" Brooklynn said as they all turned to see the wave.
'Wave.' Louise thought. Wave was danger, wave meant crashing! Crashing meant swimming....Swimming could mean drowning.
"Uh—Everyone! Secure the vines!" Brooklynn instructed as she grabbed a vine nearby. "How?!" Yasmina asked as she and Louise helped lift Kenji up after he had fallen because of the rough waters.
"Uh—I-I don't know! Pull on them?!" Brooklynn yelled. "You don't sound so sure about that, Brooklynn!" Louise cried out. "You said you had raft experience!" Yasmina scolded. "I said some raft experience, some!" Brooklynn replied loudly.
"Ohhh..." Yasmina rolled her eyes, "So only SOME of us will die!" She commented sarcastically. "Louise, I thought you said the kayaks would help us steer!" Yasmina yelled. "We can't steer if we don't have anything to STEER with!" Louise called out.
They had been relying on the wind to take them back to Costa Rica, not thinking about building paddles or something else to help them get there further.
"The winds strong—We can just power through!" Brooklynn said before the makeshift sail flew off. Yasmina glared angrily at Brooklynn and her angry eyes shifted over slightly to Louise like it was HER fault there were no paddles!
No sail, no paddles, just a wave. A wave that got taller by the second, getting massive and surrounding them on their small raft. It engulfed all around them into one big shadow and they screamed as it came crashing down with a huge SPLASH!
The water flipped the raft over and the current pulled at the campers, teasing them to get separated. It all had happened too fast for them to react. They were fighting to swim back to shore or at least they hoped that they'd be brought back to shore.
Louise felt her skin getting scraped off against the coral, and she thought about having to bring Kenji back to life again. She didn't want it to come down to this—But she had no idea where he was! She didn't have a clue as to where any of them were.
