For a few days, Ben stuck to Louise like glue.
Ben didn't expect himself to still have his clingy tendencies after discovering his island side but after Bumpy ran away...He was alone, and he hated it. He couldn't sleep without Bumpy by his side and Louise was a replacement for that empty feeling. Louise didn't expect him to be so clingy either, granted they were the only two kids left out here....But when they were at camp, before the collapse of Jurassic World, Ben clung onto Kenji at any point he could during the chaos. But who could blame Ben? Kenji was...

'Nevermind.' Louise thought, pushing the thoughts of Kenji into the back of her head. Ben had shown Louise his routine, walking down to the stream to get water and wash off. Louise admitted to herself that the water from the stream tasted a little different from the water from the waterfall, but she didn't mention it to Ben or else he might've had a heart attack.

Though, Louise didn't get sick from the different source of water and if Ben had survived off of it this long, then there was nothing wrong with it.

Following drinking water from the stream, Ben would eat from that same berry bush Bumpy had allegedly found for the both of them. And that was all he did, so when he told Louise that he stuck to the routine once he had found it, he wasn't lying. Ben also ate his fair share of grubs, but Louise shied away for them, she wasn't grossed out by them....maybe a little....they were still bugs after all.

Louise was happy living off her fruit and fish diet. When night came around, she sat against the hallowed out log, underneath Ben's shelter, he INSISTED that she sleep under there with him even though Louise told him, "I can sleep on the ground," or "Out here is fine." She'd tell him, but he just couldn't be selfish and sleep under his shelter, leaving her outside without any protection.

She slept close to the log, trying to give Ben as much space as possible, not that Louise took up a lot of it, but if Ben had designed the shelter just to fit him, she was still taking up some space when sitting under it. Ben slept laying down, her thigh being used as his pillow. Louise was used to sleeping upright, it allowed her shoulder to heal and she was less likely to roll around in her sleep or fall backwards if she was leaning up against something like the log.

Louise jumped awake one morning, hearing a roar of a dinosaur that she didn't seem to recognize....Ben shifted his head against her leg and Louise looked down at him, if this roar didn't scare Ben, who used to be scared of every little thing, then it wasn't that big of a deal. Louise placed her right hand on top of his shoulder and she noticed a small smile creeping across his face. It was still dark out, she observed.

Not too dark but it wasn't fully morning yet.

'The sun will rise soon,' Louise thought, seeing as the night sky slowly started to create a hue of purple, meaning the sun was starting to rise. Louise couldn't move because that would mean waking up Ben and she guessed he had some restless nights. Not that she had a reason to move anyways, she wasn't hungry or thirsty and there was no threat around for them to have to move. And if she got up and left to go do something without telling Ben, who knows what would happen.....

But she heard that roar again, it wasn't the Carnotaurus or Rexy....The sky flashed with red but Louise just assumed that it was the sun rising some more. She sat there, staring at the never ending void of forest, where everything sometimes just mushed together into one big green ball if she stared at it long enough.

Ben rubbed his head against her leg against before flipping over onto his back, Louise glanced over at him to see if he was awake. "I'm up." Ben declared.

"You can go back to sleep," Louise said, hearing how his voice still sounded tired. "Is it thundering?" Ben asked. "No...." Louise questionably answered.
