Sacrifice

WAKE UP!

It's all a blur. Sammy fainted and now they're all scrambling around like chickens without their heads.

"Somebody get some bandages! Uh...Uh, guys, I don't know what I'm doing." Ben's in distress.

"Everything's going to be okay!!" Darius is in distress. "Isn't there supplies we can get or something?!" Ben asked, still in distress.

"Does anybody know how to- Maybe we should-"

"Gah!" Kenji groaned. "Sammy!" Yasmina yelled, trying to keep her awake. "Everyone stop, what are we doing!?" Ben asked. "I made a reserve for this...." Louise mumbled to herself. "I made....I made..."

She climbed up the ladder and slid down to reach underneath Kenji's bed, that's where the kits were.

She jumped down from the treehouse, noting that Brooklynn and Yasmina have already removed the quills. They weren't in too far, but Louise didn't want to risk Sammy bleeding too much. "Bandages won't stop the bleeding." She knelt down next to Brooklynn. "We need to...I need to close the wound."

Louise flipped open the larger medical kit and grabbed out everything she needed. She didn't know whether to disinfect it or not- But she didn't notice any dirt in the wound and the Scorpius was fresh out of the cryotank, so maybe it wasn't dirty, and what if the alcohol swab infected instead of disinfected it?!

She thought for whatever reason.

"Pins, Louise?! Can't you use tape or something?!" Yasmina asked, holding onto Sammy's hand. "Her skin is too wet from everything, I can't risk the tape not sticking." She answered, opening the bag of pins and pouring them into the med kit. "Trust me,"

"I did this to myself." She said like it was nothing.

"It's just going to be a few pinches, Sammy." Yasmina talked Sammy through it as Louise pierced the metal through her skin. They were only small wounds, so one pin would do the job for each.

"Now, Brooklynn." Louise grabbed one side of the bandage roll and wrapped it around Sammy's waist as Yasmina held up her shirt to expose more skin.

"Sammy!" Yasmina yelled, noticing that she was starting to fade- Pass out, become fully unconscious.

"Sammy! Sammy!" She blacked out.

They've carefully moved her so she laid against one of the legs of the camp, her head being supported by a black towel or blanket of some sort. Louise watched her closely as Yasmina stared at Sammy worriedly. "Sammy, we're here. Everything's going to be okay." Yasmina said with tears glazing her eyes.

"Taking out the quills wasn't enough. The poison's already in her system, she needs an antidote." Darius whispered, probably hoping that Yasmina wouldn't hear him. "Heh, yeah, sure an antidote. That'll be easy to find considering nobody even knew this thing existed." Kenji replied with a hint of sarcasm.

"Maybe the medical supply station has something?" Ben questioned. "Doubt it." Darius said, "Kenji's right. Scorpius Rex was never supposed to get out."

Brooklynn gasped abruptly, "The video in Wu's lab!"

"He was attacked by the Scorpius and- they were giving him this....this shot from a red vial. I think they said antidote, I'm not sure." Brooklynn explained. "It was anti-venom." Louise spoke up.

Yasmina perked her head up with a soft gasp, rushing over to Brooklynn, "Where is this lab?!"

She pulled out the map from her jacket and handed it to her. Yasmina stared at the map intently, "Near the Raptor Paddock," Brooklynn added. Yaz continued to study the map before giving it back.
