Spooked

JJ followed Reid as the two entered the bar, that there latest victim worked at. The pair were greeted by loud blaring music, and drunk adults.

JJ grabbed hold of Reid's arm to make sure she was near him at all times, and he didn't get lost in the crowd.

He flashed her a reassuring smile before he yelled out over the music "I think I see the bar tender" he shouted as he tugged her along.

The two grabbed two free stools at the bar, and sat on them as they waited patiently for the tender to notice them.

He looked over at them before disappearing and then reappearing with a drink in his hand, "courtesy of the lady in blue" he said flashing Reid a wink and JJ watched as Spencer smiled and turned his head to find the women who was kind enough to buy him a drink.

JJ watched in horror as he told her he would be right back and then he went into the crowd, she felt her heart start pumping incredibly fast as she watched him approach a woman in blue dress.

She turned her head away, afraid of what she might see, she couldn't explain it but it was almost as if she was jealous to see him spending time with another person that wasn't her.

He had a big smile on his face as he walked back over to where the liaison was sitting and she couldn't help the feeling of anger that came over her.

"Hey JJ" he sat as he took a seat beside her and smiled, and then he grabbed THAT drink and took a drink from it, and by the time JJ actually got the Bar Tenders attention he had finished the whole damn drink.

Sliding her phone out JJ showed him a picture "do you know this guy?" She asked and the bar tender nodded as he cleaned out a wine glass "Yea, that's Brian" he said "what he do this time" he asked when JJ flashed her badge.

"This time?" Spencer asked as he looked up at him, with his concentrating face, the tender nodded and put the glass down "yea, Brian was a big gambler always owing money and then bringing his troubles in here" he said with a shrug, and then he walked to the other side of the bar where he was being signalled for help.

"So, Brian had gambling debts could explain why he was left outside a casino" JJ said as she faced Reid, he gave her a slight nod and JJ watched as his eyes narrowed on something "we need to leave" he said shortly as he stood up off the stool.

"Why?" JJ asked with a questioning glance, but he was gone "Spence wait" she called after him as she sped to catch up to him, apologising to numerous amounts of people as she went.

She found him outside pacing back and fourth, with a wild look in his eyes, she noticed his hands were shaking "Spence are you high?" She asked as she watched him look at her with a crazed expression.

"No" he said as he looked at her with pleading eyes, "I'm not high" he said but as soon as he lied to her, he felt the urge to tell her about how drugs were the only thing keeping calm, hell they were hidden in his pocket right now,

She gave a wary nod, "ok do you wanna lie down" she offered as he looked at her with eyes that looked lost, and confused.

He gave a weak nod, before she grabbed his arm and lead him to a patch of grass.

The two laid down and JJ rested her head on his chest feeling his heart race, something had spooked at him and she wanted to find out what.
