JJ sat in her chair, staring up at the board her eyes never leaving in case she would pick something new up but it was hard when nothing moved just stayed the exact same.

She hadn't slept in who knows how long and the only thing keeping her awake was coffee and her fear of going to sleep, because she was petrified that as soon as she shut her eyes by the time they reopened he would be gone, dead.

The team had kinda split into two, three of them working the case they were already focusing on and the remainders working on Reid's, everyone but JJ would switch sides but the blondes hand was clutched tightly around her chain with the photo of her and him as she would squeeze it tight, praying for a miracle.

But as a day went bye she began to fear, she already lost him it would be over and she would never get to tell him the truth, wrap her arms around his neck and look lovingly into his eyes she would never get to do that and it killed to know that the last time she saw him, she called him a druggie, and it petrified to think that he thought that's what she thought he was.

"Mhm, that's great thank you" Rossi said from beside her as he placed his phone down on the glass bench "well?" JJ said expectantly as she looked at him with her tired eyes and messy hair, Rossi gave a weak chuckle "Reids dad landed in Boston an hour ago, he's here for business and maybe we should go and see if he knows any possible enemies."

JJ nodded smiling, feeling a tiny amount of hope seep through her. JJ, Rossi and Prentiss exited the black SUV, each with there vests on and a gun in there hands.

"You re-" but Prentiss was cut off when there was an earth shattering explosion throwing the three of them and any bystanders to the floor in seconds.

All that could be heard was screaming and people crying out in pain, JJ scrambled to her feet feeling herself sway as she did, she could taste blood in her mouth and she could feel blood oozing out beside her cheek, but other than that she was fine.

"Rossi, Prentiss" she yelled as she stepped over and around shattered glass and broken of housing pieces.

Her body relaxed when she saw the two of them crumpled in a heap by the remains of the car, rushing over to them, helping them up they three of them looked over at the blown up building, papers, desks, people where everywhere scattered in front of them.

~The Next Morning~

JJ lifted her head of the glass table as she woke from her nap, her head felt heavy and the side of her face had bandaged up, while her nose looked broken but it wasn't the first time it had happened.

"Here" a voice said and a mug of coffee was placed in front of her, "Thanks Hotch" she mumbled as she let the warm liquid make its way down her throat.

They had been at it all night, and they had no idea why the bomb had been planted there but one thing they did know, Reid's dad was dead.

"We have nothing" Prentiss groaned and JJ nodded agreeing when Rossi spoke up "what if this person is after the Reid's, it would explain why they used a bomb, the unsub didn't want us to know he was targeting one person, so it's easier to wipe out a billion people."

Hotch nodded "Garcia, I need you to see if Reid's Dad had any connections with anyone who had a track record" Hotch asked Garcia who nodded and began typing away on her keys.

"Oh, Hotch he has no business connections, but he has a step Brother who was arrested for murder then freed under 'false accusations' and get this he worked in the marine specialising in bomb construction."

"That's our guy" Hotch said standing up, "Garc" he began but she stopped him "he owns an abandoned warehouse just north of here, I'm sending you the coordinates to your phone."

"Alright Rossi and Morgan your riding with me" Hotch said and the team excited the building, "I am sending patrol cars now" Morgan said and then they all went and jumped in the cars.

The car ride was silent between JJ and Prentiss, as JJ sped along the road that soon continued onto a dirt one.

When her phone started ringing, she signalled for Emily to put it on speaker.

"It's for you" a voice cackle over the speaker, and then a very dry and raspy voice flooded through the car "Hello?" JJ felt her heart stop, she knew that voice anywhere.

"Spence is that you" JJ said her voice wobbling, and as he let out a heavy breath she knew it was "Spence I need you to stay strong, I'm coming for you ok, I promise" JJ practically cried into the speaker, tears she didn't even knew existed were running down her cheeks at the sound of his voice.

"JJ I" he started and JJ couldn't help but cringe at how sick he sounded, she saw a building up ahead and she pressed on the pedal faster her heart racing.

"Shh Spence we have all the time in the world" JJ tried to reassure him, but she was honestly just trying to reassure herself everything had to be ok, she didn't know what she would do if it wasn't.

Numerous amounts of cop cars filed around the building, grabbing her phone and shoving it to her ear JJ let herself out of the car, then she heard it, it was like music to her ears "JJ I love you" but just like that he was gone, and JJ watched in horror as the building exploded shoving her metres away.

She felt her heart stop, She had lost him again.
