Hunted

Henry

JJ walked towards her room, the sun was high and she had shades on to protect her eyes, her head was pounding and she was extremely tired.

She was in sweatpants and a sweater, after returning from the bar all three girls had crashed at Garcia's since none of them could think straight.

Leaning her head against the door she pushed her key in and unlocked the door, as soon as she stepped foot inside her apartment she raised her eyebrow, Morgan was asleep on her couch, his shirt was off and his arm hung off the side.

"Great" she muttered as she shut the door behind her, she stumbled over to the kitchen lifting her sunnies over her head and taking a sip of cold water, which usually helps her head calm down.

After sitting for a while, the pounding had stopped and she let her our, so it hung over her shoulders.

She pulled her sweater off and revealed a light blue singlet that was tucked into her pants.

Morgan let out a soft snore and JJ smiled, she was proud that her boyfriend had been able to keep the house reasonably tidy and he didn't call her for help with Henry not once.

She heard the sound of laughing upstairs and quietly she trudged upstairs, her feet making little thuds.

The laughing become louder and she could place the voices to belong Henry and Spencer, she neared the bathroom and looked inside, her heart instantly warming at the sight.

Henry was sitting in the bath, bubbles and water surrounding his small body and a large smile on his face as he laughed.

Spencer was crouched down beside the bath, his hand in the warm water as he splashed the little boy.

Both of them were laughing and JJ could see the smile on Reid's face and she felt her heart start pumping Evan faster, her skin tingle.

As she looked at the two of them who seemed lost in there own world her smile widened, all the hangover effects she had been feeling only seconds earlier disappeared as she watched the two most important people in her world play together.

"Cute isn't it" a low voice said from behind, and JJ nodded as Morgan came and stood next to her his eyes tired.

"Henry didn't leave his side once last night, he even crawled into bed with him it was actually quiet sweet" Morgan said a small appearing on his lips.

"Yea it is" JJ said her voice soft, "I should get going" Morgan said and he trudged away.

After watching them play for a few more minutes, JJ slowly crept in "MOMMY" Henry shouted another giggle escaping his lips.

Reid turned his head, and JJ felt her heart beat at how happy he looked "Hey" he said with a smile, crouching beside Reid. JJ took his free hand and slipped it into hers and squeezed it, feeling her hand tingle when he squeezed it back.

"Hey buddy" JJ said tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear before sticking her other hand in the water and offered him a high five.

Henry smacked his hand against it making bubbles go everywhere, "Mommy guess what" Henry said with his bright eyes "what??" JJ said, watching as Henry grabbed Reid's hand making her heart feel like it would burst.

"Spencer taught me how to play chess?" The little boy exclaimed, his smile so big you could see his pearly white teeth.

"Really??" JJ said smiling even wider when she saw the blush on Reid's cheeks.

"Yep" Henry said letting out a little laugh, JJ could see Reid turning even more shades of pink so she reached toward and kissed his cheek making Henry laugh.

And it was in the moment she knew, she wanted to spend every second she could with him.
