Hunted

The Question

Reid pulled the car to a stop, and he jumped out rushing to the other side so he could hold it open for JJ, she slowly slid out and her feet made a soft thud as they landed in the dampened grass.

She took his hand and he shut the car door, and lead her across the grass "where are we?" She asked but then she saw the lake that they had kissed in, the lake were he told her he couldn't swim.

Reid led her a little further until they reached a spot high up, where the lake was in full view and a checkered picnic blanket was placed.

She looked at him, her face illuminated by the moonlight as she smiled, they took a seat together and Reid smiled as he leaned over and grabbed something out of the picnic basket.

Morgan and Reid had come up here only hours earlier setting everything out, "Cheetos?" He said offering the blonde the packet and a small chuckle escaped her lips as she opened the packet the smell of her favourite food greeting her nostrils.

Reid reached over and grabbed one out and popped one in his mouth, "hey she said shoving his shoulder and he laughed.

After what felt like hours of just looking at stars and enjoying each other's company Reid stood up and offered his hand to JJ, "may I have this dance" he said with a smile as she stood up "what dance" JJ asked and Reid smiled, reaching into his pocket he clicked something and soon the song if I lose myself started playing.

JJ let out a little smile remembering when that had song had played in the car when it was just the two of them.

She put her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his forehead against hers and they just swayed to the music.

Once the song was finished JJ looked up at the sky, her heart was pumping and her skin was warm as she watched the stars his hand still resting on her shoulder as they looked up at the giant dark sky.

"Hey look a shooting a star" Reid pointed out and JJ smiled even bigger "make a wish" she said softly and noticed his hand removed itself from
her body.

She looked to her side to see him on his knees looking up at her something sparkling in his fingers.

"I wish to spend the rest of my life with you, and I know we haven't been together long, but I know that I love you I always have" Reid said his cheeks red as he looked up at JJ, her heart pumping fast against her chest as she felt tears well up in her eyes.

He looked up at her his brown eyes hopeful and wide, "yes, yes, yes of course" she said realising she must have looked like she wasn't going to say yes.

He stood up and pulled her into a hug his arms holding her incredibly tight "I love you so much" he whispered as he released the hug and pulled her into a kiss.
