Fear is a virus that can infect, weaken, not only fairies, but also entire dream worlds. It's a virus that takes away your voice... a demon that wraps itself around your neck like a lasso over a gallows and darkens your vision like grinning death it...
After I drew some protective runes on the walls and corners of my room using sparkling magic flowing out of my fingers, we came back down to the kitchen to eat the lunch Soobin and Beomgyu prepared with love. Although it felt alike the Last Supper, I couldn't eat much. I wasn't able to fully enjoy it, because I actually wanted to prevent it - it can't be for the last time... and that's why I can't waste any second.
Now I was sitting on the carpet in front of my bed... legs crossed, eyes closed, one hand put in Beomgyu's, while the room was filled with high vibration music that was helping me and Heeseung to recharge our magic... I didn't plan to wake up the older mind fairy though.
Soobin and Hyuka were also sitting nearby. We found out that Beomgyu already told Soobin about meeting possessed Heeseung in the dark forest... and that actually played into my cards. Now there was much less to hide and we could more easily get Soobin's help.
With deep breaths, I listened to my lovers talk quietly.
"Do you think it has possibly something to do with my yesterday's all-day-sleep?" Soobin asked in a low voice.
Of course... of course he can put two and two together - in both cases it's my fault... - Beomgyu nervously played with my fingers.
It is not... I gripped his hand tightly.
"Mph... I think so. The symptoms are quite similar to yours... and...," Kai hesitated, but Soobin remained patient.
"-and also the storm... We found some weird flowers in the Magic forest. Taehyun thinks they appeared after the strong rain... according to him, their origin is not in our world."
"Hm? Flowers?" Soobin wondered.
What flowers? The tension in Beomgyu's body rose as I felt his gaze on me. We didn't have a chance to tell him more about our research.
I opened my eyes with a slow exhale and hugged Healer's hand on my lap with my other palm as well.
"Red flowers resembling spiders. They seem to mask their sticks with white heads to match our family of luminous plants...," I came out with a description that met with unpleasant surprise in the eyes of two fairy plant experts. "Did you hear about them?"
Soobin blinked rapidly touching his neck and exchanged an anxious look with Beomgyu and Kai, before looking at me: "I only heard about them in some ancient stories... but it sounds like a description of red hurricane... or red spider lily. The legends use them as a symbol of death since they are pretty poisonous-"
"Or rebirth- they are also called resurrection lilies. Where exactly did you find them??" Beomgyu interrupted Soobin's speech urgently getting on his knees.
I didn't want to tease and choke the spark of hope in his eyes once again, but I had to do it.
"We can't take you there, it's not safe since something out there made Heeseung attack you... but we will show it to Soobin to be sure it really is this spider lily," I whispered to him.
No. No, Taehyun, please... Gyu grabbed my shoulders begging me with desperate teary look and shaking his head. Please tell me - does it have anything to do with Yeonjun? Please...
I slightly opened my lips when I noticed Soobin's hands gently put on sides of Beomgyu's hairy head.
Please...
"It's for your safety... just do what Taehyun says. Wait here for us. We will be back quickly and tell you what we found out," Soobin told him with his calm voice and caressed his hair, but the pleading button-like eyes wouldn't stop running over my face.
They overgrown Yeonjun's car...

The picture of Beomgyu looking at me lost and falling back on his heels drowned with the stone skipping on the calm water surface, reflecting sunset. Kai took another one from the ground and elegantly threw it.
"I don't get it, they were here a few hours ago...," he remarked unhappily.
Obviously, we took Soobin to different place near to the one when we actually found the car. We couldn't show him the lilies because of risk that the look at the familiar vehicle would release Beomgyu's seal prematurely.
Luckily, Hyuka was an amazing actor and I just had to keep my poker face until it was my turn to play.
"Maybe we just overlooked them...," Soobin mumbled walking around, browsing overgrown grass and reeds. It was slowly getting dark.
"As we could overlook bright red flowers? We might be both kinda blind but... not so blind," Huening chuckled nervously rubbing his palms.
I glanced at him with a faint smile to make sure he is still beside Soobin, then I picked up the first flat stone I found and secretly wrapped it in prepared magic spell.
"True...," the water fairy agreed as he was touching his, probably burning, ears. Then he walked closer to me with Kai just behind him. So what do we do...?
The right timing and a moment of surprise...
"Guys look."
As soon as I caught Soobin's attention, I threw the enchanted stone.
The first jump was a trap.
The second created hypnotic circular waves...
... and the third one made Soobin instantly pass out into Huening Kai's arms.
Success.

Gdjfk hello! It took me a little bit longer this time and the chapter is slightly shorter, but I always need more time to write climax parts 🙈 I couldn't even put everything I wanted into this one, because it would be too long... so Taehyun's real action will be in the next chap pheww... but it's okay!
