Matteo's Pov

"What is he talking about mom" Leo said as they all turned to Selena for an answer

"I did it for our family" she said sobbing and no matter how much l felt sorry for her l couldn't let her tears get to me because she hurt my daughter and that is one thing l can never forgive

"What did you do mother" Elonzo asked menacingly and honestly l was a proud father this is what l've always taught him to never forgive betrayal he could see it in his mother's eyes that she did something unforgivable

"I-l l wanted to protect her Two " l missed hearing her call me by that nickname but now that sink has sailed because all l see when l look at her is the pain my daughter went through for 13 years even though Bella hasn't told me about the abuse l am her father l know everything

"Protecting her by giving her away to someone you hadly know " l said raising my voice because l really don't have time for her nonsense l promised my daughter that l would watch some movie with her l think she said it's called Frozen , it's turned out to be her favourite so far all she does is sing the songs of the movie all day and am starting to know the lyrics by heart as well

"Look at our sons Teo this life of yours has turned them it monsters" she said looking at them like she was disgusted

"Is that how you think about us "Leone said looking at his mother with a hurt look on his face

"You think we're monsters" Leo said laughing hysterically but l knew he wasn't laughing because it was funny but because he was hurt

"So that's why you hadly cared about us huh" Elonzo said tauting his mother and had it been some other time l would have felt sorry for her and asked them to talk to their mother with respect but no she deserves it today

"I don't care what you think Selena l just want to know why you gave away my daughter the day she was born" l didn't want Alexandra to know more than she already does because l don't trust the girl especially if she finds out about the Mafia she could prove to be a big problem that's why l couldn't let them continue talking about our lifestyle

All of them looked shocked when l said that including Alexandra

"You gave her away" Alex asked seemingly shocked

"I just wanted her to be normal " she shouted while standing up and looking me in the eye

"You claim to care about Alexandra then why did you bring her into our lives knowing clearly the dangers involved huh

They were abusing my daughter for years while you were busy treating theirs like a princess

You ruined my daughter's life Selena but what's worse is that you gave her away again without any second thought and now l will destroy everything that makes you happy you think of us as monsters right? now l will show you a monster and no l won't kill you l will ruin" l said ruthlessly with poison dripping out with each word while she dropped to her knees crying

I looked at her one last time and left the office while my son's followed behind me

"Can we meet her again" Alex said looking at me for permission and l hugged my son while ruffling his hair this was probably hard on my youngest boy l know he thinks he's grown up and he can deal with such situations on his own but l know it's hard on him especially with what Selena just said

"Let's go meet your sister boys "
