Chapter 16

Rosabella's Pov

I've heard that you can't miss what you never had in the first place but when l look at my dad l miss every memory and moments we could have had together had we not been separated

This whole week with my dad has been truly amazing even though l struggle with the nightmares of my past but everytime l wake up he is right next to me soothing and comforting me

My dad is a man of a few words but actions show just how much he loves and cares for me and for that l'll always be grateful

I never thought l would ever say this but l'm seriously bored all l ever do is wake up, eat , watch tv , take a nap , eat, watch tv ,watch dad work then dinner and finally dad and l spend a few hours before we go to bed together then he tucks me in and the same happens the next day

Dad says once he sorts everything out l'll be able to go to school and also get to know my family and l can't wait , my last meeting with my brothers wasn't exactly the best but l understand they didn't know me at the time they had every right to feel skeptical about me

Dad actually went to talk to them since he hasn't been spending time with them and l really hope they don't hold it against him because he was just trying make me feel comfortable around him and he also says that he wanted to protect me but l don't really understand why because it's not like anyone would want to kill me or hurt me except the Rossi's of course

I am pulled from my thoughts by the door opening and l instantly know it's dad because the guards wouldn't let anyone else enter

I pause my movie and go straight to the living room and as l near the place l hear mutliple voices

"Bella we've got visitors" l hear dad say but l start panicking

What if he called them??

What if they want me back??

They wouldn't want to lose their free maid just like they always told me

I lean against the wall to try and stop my racing heart but it doesn't seem to work

"Hey breathe " l hear dad say and honestly l don't know how he got here he was supposed to be in the living room

"If you don't calm down you'll have a panic attack Bella" he says sternly

"they want me back don't they?" I ask him with tears brimming in my eyes

"Who" he says looking confused

"My par-- adoptive parents"

"No Bella l promised you that no one will ever take you away didn't l ?, and you should know that l never break a promise" he says tucking stray hairs from my face behind my ears

"I know and l trust you daddy but am just scared"

"and l reassure you princess l'll always keep you safe" he murmured while hugging me and l instantly felt safe

"So who are our visitors" l said while wiping my tears and l stood up

"Your brothers " l was shell shocked to see my brother's standing in front of me

the day l met my brothers at the hospital they weren't really welcoming but they didn't seem to completely hate me either so l really have no idea on how they'll react today and worst of all they probably saw my mini panic attack

"Hey little one" Elonzo l think comes forward and kneels in front of me to probably match my height

"H-hello " l say stuttering and l internally cringe on how pathetic l sound

"I know we didn't exactly have the best first impression but we would really like to get to know you " he said looking at me expectantly

"Really ?" L said with the biggest smile ever because after that day at the hospital l didn't think that they would ever accept me as their sister

"Please forgive us for that day at the hospital princess we were just worried and confused and we took it out on you" the one l assume to be Leo says kneeling next to Elonzo and taking my hand in his

"You were worried about your sister and l don't blame you" l told them honestly

"You're so small and cute " Alex said as he pinched my cheeks and l huffed and stomped my feet

"I am not small"

"Yeah angel whatever you say " he said and they all laughed at me

Maybe l can finally be happy and have a family
