Chapter 17

Rosabella's Pov

Having a family is something l used to dream of and not even once did l think l would ever have one

It's been 2 weeks since l met my brothers and l've enjoyed every moment of these 2 weeks

My brothers wanted me to go home with them that day but dad said that he still had to sort out a few things before that happened so l stayed back at the apartment but Alex didn't go back with them because he was really angry at our mother

I don't think I hate my mother l actually think that maybe she has a a much bigger reason on why she gave me away because from what l've heard about her, she is good person and even though my brothers say that she was mentally absent from their lives most of their l know they love her and respect her

They probably hate her because in their own way they think that they are defending me and l don't want that

"Penny for your thoughts" l turned my head to see Elonzo sitting next to me

"When did you get here " l asked him as l laid my head in his shoulder

"I few minutes before the movie ended" l actually forgot about the movie because l was distracted with my thoughts

"what has you so distracted" he said

"Nothing" l said because l didn't want to bother him with my useless thoughts but he raised an eyebrow at me and of course you can't really like to Elonzo not to forget that l am a horrible lie as well

"Is it my fault that everyone is mad at our mother" l asked him honestly because it's been on mind for quite some time

"honestly little one l think mom has had it coming for a while now" he said playing with my hair

"but everything was fine until l came along right?"

"No there are just too many unanswered questions and l think everyone is trying to adjust and come to terms with the new developments in our lives" he said

"did l do something for her to hate me so much "

"No way you are the best thing that has happened to our family in a while "

"Do you really mean that" l asked him smiling at him

"Of course l mean that, me and my brothers have started to talk to our cousins because of you, dad is so happy and nothing could ever better than that for me "

"I didn't imagine that my life could ever change so drastically"

"a good change l hope " he said bopping my nose playful

"the best" l say laughing

I have really come to love my brothers and especially Elonzo because he may seem strict , emotionless, cold but his really a big softy inside and his hugs gives me the warmth and safety that dad gives me

My brothers have been spending a lot of time here and it's given us a lot of time to bond

"I've been meaning to ask about Alexa how has she been taking the news"

"I haven't spoken to her in a while l've just been too busy and we usually have dinner here so by the time we get home she's always asleep" he says guiltily

"You should talk to her none of this is her fault you know" l told him and in all honesty I feel guilty too because they're all spending a lot of time here and not to forget that Alex has been staying here and she must be feeling that they've replaced her and that isn't really my intention

"you're are an amazing young girl you know that" Leone said and l hadn't noticed him

"were you eavesdropping on a private conversation" l said playful faking being shocked because dad warned me to never eavesdrop apparently it's bad manners

"No l just got here" he said

"I am sooo telling dad" l said running towards dad's office while he was running after me

I may have been robbed of a proper childhood but l wouldn't exchange these moments with my brothers for anything in the world
