Rosabella..

Today l was on a self discovery mode and l didn't even let Elena's threats dampen my mood. l couldn't wait to talk to dad about attending school and meeting knew people.
It's like dad knew l wanted to talk to him and l found him in my his study even though he was supposed to be in the office with my brothers.
"Sorry l didn't know you were in here "l said sheepishly at him while looking down.
"Oh that means you go in and out as you please when am not here" he say teasingly raising his eyebrows and l laughed.
"Well since l inspire to be like you so that means that l impersonate you " l say sitting across him.
"What can l do for my princess then" he says turning all his attention to me and l immediately fix my posture.
"Am here to tell you that from tomorrow l will be attending high school like other children my age" l say without faltering even once and dad looks at me with amusement.
"To tell or ask" he says looking at me deeply but l refuse to be intimidated.
"To tell because it is my basic right to get education "l say trying to give him the same intimidating look but he just looks more amused and l can't help but feel small.
"But you are getting education, aren't you "he asks with a raised eyebrow but l won't let him get the best of me.
"Yes l am but it's time l get out of my shell and spread my wings" l say looking at him boldly.
"Well you seem to be presenting a reasonable argument Miss De-Luca" dad says thoughtfully and l smile.
"If you are smart Mr De-Luca then l am your daughter and that means that l am no less" l say and he laughs wholeheartedly. God l love my dad.
"Well l will take your proposal to consideration and get back to you by dinner time, will that be okay with you" he say with his head resting on his hands.
"Well l say we shake on it " l say pushing my hand forward and he does the same.
"Pleasure doing business with you Miss De-Luca" he says and l laugh adorably at him and he joins in.
"l guess that concludes our business " l say moving towards him to sit at his lap.
"Well if you going to start talking big then you going to have to start behaving like a big girl. He says gesturing to me on his lap.
"Well l don't want to stop being a daddy's girl" l say pouting at him and he pecks my forehead.
"l feel like you're growing and am losing you" he says looking at me emotionally and l snuggle closer to him in an attempt to reassure him but l don't know why l feel like there's something else weighing on his mind.
"Are you okay" l say touching the lines of frustration in his face and he closes his eyes.
"Now that l've talked to my princess, l feel great" he says and l nod even though l know he is lying but l also know that he is trying to protect us.
"l'll go greet my brothers" l say moving away from him.
