Minjeong was in the bathroom, her breathing laboured. She had just wrapped up a session with a client that was so intense, it was the first time in her entire career that she felt like crying in the middle of talking.
She knew there was something wrong with her, some wounds that needed to be healed, but it wasn't easy to tell if she were to do anything about it.
Once Minjeong composed herself, she splashed some water on her face and made her way out and towards Yunjin's office, seeing as the woman didn't have any clients. Sometimes they'd go out for a meal together.
"Dr. Huh." Minjeong knocked on her door.
"Oh, we're having a formal evening?" Yunjin chuckled as Minjeong walked in.
"It's got a nice ring to it," Minjeong shrugged. "Any dinner plans?"
"Nope," Yunjin shook her head. "Wanna get dinner? I'm all done for the day."
"Perfect," Minjeong smiled. "I found this new café. It's one of my favourites now."
"Because it's quiet or because the food's good?" Yunjin laughed, packing her things as they spoke.
"Both," Minjeong hummed. "Yizhuo was busy so I went alone yesterday. It was empty."
"You're telling me Yizhuo was busy?" Yunjin raised an eyebrow. "The Ning Yizhuo we all know?"
"Shocking, right?" Minjeong let out a small laugh. "But she'll be there tonight."
"That's good," Yunjin muttered, walking out with Minjeong. "She owes me money."
"Again?!" Minjeong raised her eyebrows in shock, Yunjin nodding. "She has got to stop with the bets."
"There's just one last one that she said she'd win," Yunjin told. "Which I think you'd know something about?"
Minjeong groaned, "Jaemin?"
"Yep," Yunjin chuckled. "Why that reaction? Not your type?"
"I'm really not interested in him," Minjeong shrugged. "Or anyone for that matter."
"What ever happened to that guy you were seeing during residency?" Yunjin asked. "You just stopped mentioning him all of a sudden and I assumed you guys broke up."
"Yeah, that was a short relationship," Minjeong hummed. "But anyways, I've got no time for all that anymore."
"Workaholic," Yunjin teased, waving at Yerim on the way out. "See you tomorrow, love! Have a great night."
"I'll see you, Dr. Huh. Take care," Yerim smiled. "You too, Dr. Kim. Have a great night, you guys."
"Goodnight, Yerim," Minjeong smiled back, waving at the woman before making her way towards her car, looking at Yunjin. "Follow me. It's not that far."
"See you there, doctor." Yunjin winked as she got into her own car, following Minjeong's to the café.
As Minjeong got closer, she saw Yizhuo standing outside next to her car, furrowing her eyebrows at that.
"Why didn't you get us a table?" Minjeong asked after she parked.
"I got shy!" Yizhuo pouted.
"Of what?... of who?"
"Pretty barista with black hair and bangs," Yizhuo shrugged, waving at Yunjin as she walked over to them. "Lovely seeing you here."
"Lovely seeing you here," Yunjin smiled, holding her hand out. "Money."
