It had been over two months since Minjeong and Karina started dating, which meant it had been over a month since Minjeong met Irene and Seulgi, which meant it had been over a month since Minjeong went crazy thinking about just how much she might love Karina.
To make matters worse, Taeyeon had arrived sooner than expected and Yizhuo was suddenly freer than ever.
Minjeong had made the silly mistake of mentioning to Yizhuo that Irene is aware her and Karina love each other, which just led to relentless teasing and constant pressure to 'just tell her you love her!'
That was a lot easier said than done, because every time Minjeong even felt like she got close to confessing, she found some excuse or the other to chicken out and change the topic.
At some point, Minjeong knew she had to tell Karina, but she didn't want it to be forced. She was taking her time because she was waiting for the perfect moment. The only problem was the perfect moment never really seemed to come.
"So you told her about your father?" Taeyeon raised an eyebrow as she sat across Minjeong in her living room. "Like, willingly?"
"Hadn't even told me about her father." Yizhuo scoffed.
"I had to," Minjeong shrugged. "It was part of me explaining my trust and communication issues to her."
"So if it wasn't, you would never have brought it up?" Taeyeon asked.
"If it wasn't, that would mean he didn't mess me up, so yeah," Minjeong nodded. "I can't avoid it. I've tried for years, but in the end, I just have to accept that it all started with him."
"This just means Karina was the first person you actually willingly opened up to." Yizhuo pointed out.
"Because you're scared to lose her." Taeyeon smiled.
"And I've admitted that a million times!" Minjeong groaned. "I've admitted I'm scared to lose her, I've admitted I'm in love with her. What more do you want from me?"
"To tell her you love her because she loves you too." Taeyeon said.
"I'll get to it," Minjeong huffed. "I'll say it when I know it's the right time."
"You keep saying that but I'm not really seeing what the right time would be." Yizhuo muttered.
"What about today?" Taeyeon suggested.
Minjeong gave her mother a look, "Because you arrived today?"
"Because the weather app says there is a chance of snow." Taeyeon rolled her eyes in amusement, Yizhuo gasping lightly as she clasped her hands.
"Aw! First snow!"
"I prefer spring," Minjeong told. "But she likes winter..."
"So..." Taeyeon raised her eyebrows with a smile. "I think today's a better time than any."
"Provided it does snow," Minjeong laughed. "Whatever, let's move on. Enough about me."
"But I love talking about you," Yizhuo pouted. "Your life is so interesting. Like when your ex-fiancé showed up at your doorstep and begged you to come back but you didn't tell your mom or your girlfriend about it."
"He did what?!" Taeyeon looked at Minjeong with wide eyes.
"Yizhuo!" Minjeong whined. "I didn't wanna talk about it yet!"
"What do you mean 'yet'?! You should've told me about it the day it happened!" Taeyeon frowned.
"I didn't want to!" Minjeong groaned, rubbing her face with her hands. "Thanks, Ning. Thanks for this."
