Minjeong didn't stop by at Vivid before work. Minjeong didn't even go to work. She had one session in the evening, so it was an empty morning for her. Karina was still at her mother's place, so Minjeong didn't really have much of a reason to go to the café anyways.
Which was why Minjeong was on her way to meet Jihyo. There was a lot on her mind, and while Yizhuo helped her come to terms with a lot of things, there was one question that she knew only Jihyo could answer.
"Good morning, Minjeong," Sana smiled at her as she walked in. "Jihyo's waiting for you."
"Thank you, Sana." Minjeong smiled back and walked over to the familiar door, knocking twice.
Within seconds, the door opened, Jihyo smiling at Minjeong on the other side, "Good to see you again, Minjeong."
"So good to see you." Minjeong took a seat with a light sigh.
"What's wrong?" Jihyo asked, sitting across Minjeong.
"What makes you think something's wrong?"
Jihyo shrugged lightly, "You called first."
Minjeong hummed, looking down at her feet. It seemed that everyone around her knew her better than she knew herself.
"So, what's happened since we last spoke during the workshop?"
"I told Karina," Minjeong bit back a smile as she looked at the floor bashfully. "She likes me too. We're going on dates."
Jihyo smiled brightly after hearing that, "That's amazing. I'm proud of you, Minjeong. It's not easy to admit your feelings to someone."
"It was tough as hell," Minjeong chucked softly. "When I got back, she was mad at me because I was ignoring her, so I thought I'd lost her already. We managed to resolve it and I found out one of my clients was her boyfriend."
"Oh!" Jihyo raised her eyebrows. "The one you sent to us?"
"I'm not really supposed to tell you that..." Minjeong muttered. "But yeah."
"Well, that really is an interesting turn of events," Jihyo laughed lightly. "So, how's it been with her?"
"Amazing," Minjeong let out a smile that reached her eyes, something Jihyo always took note of. "She's perfect. I'm glad I told her, I'm glad we made up, I'm glad I'm trying with her."
"You're doing great, Minjeong," Jihyo hummed, very happy with how the woman was progressing. "Everything seems to be going very well."
"I mean... yes and no?"
"Let's look into that then," Jihyo leaned forward. "What's going well? What isn't?"
"Karina and I are going very well. We haven't defined our relationship, but she knows I'm planning on asking her to be my girlfriend soon," Minjeong took a deep breath in. "But that's also not going very well?"
"What do you mean?"
"Jay showed up around a week ago, right in front of my door." Minjeong told. "He wanted me back, told me he still loves me and said I still love him. Then he kissed me, and I didn't- I couldn't kick him out for some reason."
"Is he gone?" Jihyo asked first. "Are you in a safe situation?"
"Yeah, Yizhuo got him to leave," Minjeong nodded. "Threatened him, I'm very sure."
"Okay," Jihyo muttered. "So what has that got to do with Karina?"
"Why do you think it has something to do with her?"
