Minjeong hadn't seen or heard from both Karina and Giselle in 5 days.
Yizhuo refused to go to the café, stating that Giselle was still being irrational with who she was directing her anger at, while Minjeong was practically begging that she patch things up with the woman.
"Just go talk to her about it." Minjeong sighed, sitting across Yizhuo in her office. It was lunchtime for them and Minjeong had some time to kill before her next client.
"She can come talk to me," Yizhuo scoffed. "Blaming both you and I for Karina getting mad. Like so what? All you did was not talk to her for a few days. It was her who tried to kiss you while still being in a relationship, how is this only your fault?"
Minjeong was touched that Yizhuo went above and beyond to defend her honour, but this was getting a little too much. She couldn't have her problems ruin her best friend's life.
"You would do the same for me, Yizhuo," Minjeong told. "She's just worried about Karina."
"She's making Karina seem like a saint when she is very clearly not." Yizhuo crossed her arms, leaning back into the chair.
"Please don't ruin what you have with Giselle," Minjeong said. "Not over this. It's not worth it."
"I'm not the one doing anything," Yizhuo shrugged. "I should be just as mad at Karina for making you cry but I'm not. I don't know why the two of them are acting like you killed someone."
Minjeong let out a shaky breath, her head falling into her hands, "I'm heading to Vivid today."
"What if she isn't there?"
"Then I'll go again tomorrow." Minjeong muttered.
"If she tries to get you to think that you're in the wrong, you have to get out of there," Yizhuo advised. "I'm sure Giselle's planted those thoughts into her head."
"Yizhuo," Minjeong looked up at the woman. "That's your girlfriend. Don't talk about her like that."
"I don't think we're together anymore." Yizhuo hummed.
"I don't remember a break up, so you two are definitely still together," Minjeong said. "Can you talk to her? At least get her to see where you're coming from since she's showed you where she's coming from."
Yizhuo huffed, a frown on her face, "I'll call her."
"Good," Minjeong nodded, looking at the time. "You should start heading back. My client will be here soon."
"Can't I join you guys?" Yizhuo raised her eyebrows.
"We've been over this," Minjeong laughed lightly, using a tissue to dry a tear that fell half-way down her cheek. "I'll see you at Vivid?"
"Depending on how my call with Giselle goes," Yizhuo said. "Otherwise, I'll see you at home."
"Fine by me." Minjeong hummed, escorting Yizhuo out just as her client walked in.
"Oh, hey doc," Jeno smiled. "Can I come in?"
"Yeah, take a seat first," Minjeong told. "I'll be right back."
Jeno let out another smile and walked over to the chairs, Yizhuo furrowing her eyebrows as she walked past him. She'd seen that face before.
"Who's that?" Yizhuo asked.
"My client," Minjeong said as she brought Minjeong out to the reception. "I'll see you later. Take care."
"Yeah, you too." Yizhuo muttered, eyebrows still furrowed in confusion. Such a familiar face.
