In the evening, the sun was starting to set, and Lucas was packing up some of his stuff in boxes because he eventually rented a home and was going to move out soon.

While Barbara was practicing her sword skills, she held her sword up.

"Alright. I'm ready." She spoke.

Lucas grabbed a mango and tossed it in the air, Barbara sliced through it and the fruit was cut in half but it glowed blue, it suddenly exploded into tiny pieces.

"Did you see that?" Barbara exclaimed towards her stepbrother with a big smile.

"It sliced and diced that mango like no tomorrow! Incredible!" Lucas responded with a grin.

"Okay, throw me something else. Something tough." The armored woman spoke.

Lucas looked around and saw some stones and had an idea.

"What about these? Stones are tough."

The man picked up the stone and tossed it towards her and she swung the blade, again it had the same results as it exploded into many pieces.

Both of them shielded themselves from the tiny pieces that rained everywhere and laughed.

That is when Draal walks out to the backyard with Crystal behind him.

"What is this mockery? He spoke up, startling Lucas.

"Oh, hi, Draal. I was just working on some sword fighting skills." Barbara responded with an awkward smile.

"Well, you sure aren't doing a good job at it." Crystal chuckled.

"The sword of Daylight is not a toy to be played with. It is a hallowed obligation I have spent my entire life training to be worthy of." Draal explains and walks towards the Trollhunter.

Barbara looks at her sword and looks up at the spikey troll.

"Do you want to try it out?" She suggested, which made him snort with anger.

Then, she lifts the sword with both her hands and hands it to him, which seemed to have made him surprised and curious.

He grabs the handle of the sword and lifts it in the air.

Though for a second he could've sworn he saw a reflection of his father, the sword glowed until it disappeared in his hand and reappeared in Barbara's hand.

The armored woman felt bad for the troll when she saw his disappointed expression.

"Sorry. I forgot." Barbara softly spoke.

"If my destiny is to not hold the sword, perhaps it is to teach you how to properly wield it." The spikey troll spoke.

He looked around and saw a tall living room lamp and picked it up, taking the shade off and began swinging it around like it was a weapon.

Both Barbara and Lucas backed away, as he was moving so fast.

That is when Draal came closer and nearly wacked her with the lamped but stopped a few inches away from her face.
