In the dead of night, a raft floated through the dark waters with only a burning torch lighting the way.

Angor Rot carefully paddled his way and when he reached his destination, he got off the raft and picked up the torch.

In front of him was a dark cave.

A chilling uncertainty creeped in his body and slowly walked in.

He stopped at the entrance and raised his voice, chanting in a foreign language, as if he was calling to someone on the other side.

Then, he carefully pulls out a bird from his satchel and releases it into the darkness.

The bird coos until it screams in fear, then he heard a bone crack, and finally... silence.

"I call you forth! Argante. Pale Lady. Baba Yaga. Eldritch Queen." Angor spoke up.

"I have many names."

A female voice echoed throughout the cave, startling the pale troll.

Suddenly his torch burned out and everything became dark.

A second later, the dark waters illuminated the area in a purple hue.

"I came to trade. Gunmar's war for the surface lands has ravaged my village. I need the power to protect my people." He pleaded.

"You seek magic, but what do you bring in return?" She asked.

Angor pulled out his dagger and stabbed his side, grunting from the pain as he removed a blue glowing rock from his body.

"Here, my offering, carved from my own living stone."

He hands her the stone and she closes her hand around the stone and it magically turns into a ring.

The ring shot out yellow misty orbs into the palm of his hand, granting him magical powers.

"Yes! I can... I can feel it!" He exclaimed as he felt a surge of power within his body and the powers radiated from his hands.

"It is so... it is so..."

Suddenly, he felt a part of himself being ripped from him and he groaned from the intense pain.

The pale troll falls to his knees and his soul bursted from his mouth, and encasing it into the ring.

"My soul! You lied to me!" He yelled in despair.

The mysterious voice giggled maliciously.

"You fool. Your flesh is worth nothing." She wore the ring and clenched her fist.

"What have you done to me? Inside, I am so... so... empty!" He cried out.

 empty!" He cried out
