A promise was a promise. However, Jim didn't mind staying on the sidelines to watch his mother train in the Forge.
At least he would get a better demonstration in how it would work.
Except today wasn't going to be like any of her usual training.
Today, she was going to test out the different gemstones' abilities with her amulet.
"You have unlocked the might if the Triumbric Stones." Vendel spoke.
Barbara takes out her amulet and flips it over to the back, revealing the other stones underneath the plates.
"This proves you're ready to begin the next level of training, mastering the powers of our rarest elements. Say the incantation."
"For the glory of Merlin-"
"No, the other one." He corrected her, which confused her, but did as she was told.
"For the Doom of Gunmar, Eclipse is mine to command."
Her amulet glowed red and her armor magically appeared, and it encased her entire body.
Despite seeing her in the armor a few times, he was still entranced by the magical transformation.
"Marvelous. The legend made real." Vendel commented and walked down the steps to approach her.
"Merlin's Amulet is a relic of unfathomable power. It is said, when he forged it, he made it malleable so each Trollhunter may combat darkness that even the creator could not foresee."
"So, new stones, new power. What else can it do?" She curiously questions.
"Blinkous." The elderly troll called Blinky and the blue troll placed down a contraption that would show a glowing periodic table, one that she had already seen before.
"Your "periodic table" is amusing. Uncovering but a few elements. But in truth, there are more than you can even imagine." Vendel explained.
The graph began to expand wider until it filled the entire arena.
Both Barbara and Jim were in awe as they gazed at the magical lights that shows all the types of different minerals that none of them ever seen before.
Then, Aarrrghh carries a box and opens it, revealing several different gemstones.
"We have, in our possession, a few remaining stones that Trollhunters past have used to unlock their potential. Stones that will grant you swiftness, a glimpse into your enemies mind, even the power to walk in daylight."
"I think I don't really need a stone for that." Barbara comments and takes off her armor.
"Shall we see how good you are with the rest?" Vendel hands her one stone and she places it in her amulet.
It made the gem within the amulet glow yellow and so, it was time to test it out.
Turns out, it gave her the ability to walk on walls.
The armored woman was struggling to hang on as she took a step.
Standing vertically was tough to balance herself, and she could practically feel the gravity trying to force her backwards.
"Oh. Okay. I got this. I got... this." She mumbled to herself.
Jim watched intently, seeing his mother easily scale the wall.
"Whoa."
"This stone was used by Araknak, the Agile. There was no obstacle he could not traverse." Vendel stated.
