There were crystals everywhere, all surrounding her with nowhere to run.

"Gunmar."

A whispering voice swishes around her, causing Barbara to be on high alert and searching for any signs of movement.

There was nothing, everything seemed empty. But there was this lingering fear that she couldn't shake off.

"Gunmar the Black."

The voice echoes throughout the area, following the woman as she cautiously trudges further down the path.

All she could see was her many reflections within the mirroring surface of the crystals, disorienting her view and making her unable to focus on what could be a threat or not.

"Gunmar the Vicious."

She heard a voice growing louder and she summoned her weapon, fearing something could jump out and attack her any second, she could feel it.

"Gunmar the Skullcrusher."

It grew louder and closer.

She walks backwards, anxiously watching and waiting for the threat.

Until...

"Gunmar!"

A deep and terrifying voice roared behind her and Barbara turned around to see a dark giant looming figure with one glowing blue eye towering over her.

Barbara screams in fear and falls into a never ending void.

However, she does eventually hit a surface.

Her eyes shot open and yelped, sweat dripping down her face and her breathing was unstable.

Barbara found herself on the floor of her bedroom, presumably must've fallen off her bed from that awful dream.

Jim rushes into her room to check on her.

"Mom? Are you okay?"

A groan left her lips as she got up.

"I'm fine, Jim. I just... accidentally slipped." She replied.

"A-Are you sure?" The boy questions with worry.

"Yes. I'm fine...wait what time is it?"

"Uhh... Almost eight, which means I should get going. Oh, and I made your lunch for work, it's in the fridge. Anyways, I gotta go. Bye, mom!"

Jim gave his mother a warm hug and headed downstairs to get his Vespa.

Thankfully, Barbara didn't have work until the evening, so she had plenty of time to herself.

Crystal completely forgot how boring school announcements were.
