Barbara the Belonging

One Day

This chapter is just filler because I want to write a chapter with some of the characters interacting with each other. 

So it's a break for the main story.

A lot can happen in a day.

Even if it's spending time with someone, such as friends, acquaintances, family, and loved ones.

Such as when Blinky organizes his library, Aarrrghh curiously comes in and sees the blue troll busy cleaning.

He felt a bit shy to speak, but it's been too long since he spoke or even hung around the smaller troll. And from all the tension he has been feeling from the Creeper Sun poison, he thought it could all be relieved by spending time with his old friend.

As he approached, Blinky sensed his presence and spoke up without even turning around.

"Ah, Aarrrghh! It's good to see you. You know, we haven't spoken in a while."

The large troll hummed anxiously and responded.

"Yes. Sorry. Was... busy. But, not anymore. Want to spend time with friend... With you."

Blinky shelved a book away and turned to his friend with a wide smile.

"Well, I'm glad to hear. I would be delighted to spend some time with you. Perhaps you could lend me a hand in organizing this place, first. I never got to finish cleaning up after the disastrous search for obtaining the Inferna Copula." He playfully chuckled.

And so, the two began piling books and tomes into one group and the blue troll shelved some of them in an alphabetical order.

All while Aarrrghh made sure he didn't miss any of them.

It only took three hours and the library was now perfectly organized.

"I dare say we did a perfect job. Not one out of place and everything is shelved and stacked neatly." Blinky proudly spoke.

"Mmhm. Very clean." Aarrrghh agreed.

"Now, was there something you wanted, because I doubt you came here to help me organize books?" The blue troll questioned in a playful manner.

Aarrrghh remained silent for a moment, unsure if he should tell the truth that he has been keeping for so long.

He wants to, but is afraid that he'll make them upset.

Instead, he smiled and replied.

"Only wanted to hear Blinky read story. Is that okay?"

Blinky smiled and nodded.

"Of course! I couldn't be happier to read to you, my friend. Would you like me to read to you your favorite?" He asked.

The large troll didn't even need to answer as he went to sit by the table with a gleeful grin.

"I'll take that as a yes."

He goes to look for one specific book and sits at the table.

Aarrrghh remained quiet throughout the whole time, peacefully listening to the story and his mind began to drift away from the awful and anxious thoughts of his injury, and it was replaced with tranquility.

For centuries, he dealt with plenty of issues, and no one understood him.

Except for Blinky, as he was patient, determined, and was kind enough to help him deal with his issues, despite being a former Gumm-Gumm.
