This is another break from the main story, but in this chapter shows how Dictatious and Luceña survive in the Darklands.

And how they eventually get together.

After the battle of Killahead, Gunmar and his army were sucked into the potral and imprisoned in the Darklands.

However, he found out that he and his army weren't the only ones who were trapped.

He intimidatingly approached two small trolls, who must have mistakenly imprisoned as well.

They cower under his fearsome stare.

The Gumm-Gumms surrounded them, making sure they wouldn't escape, and when the mighty troll king confronted them, he drew out his blade.

He growled with an irritated expression, as he knew these were the trolls who aided the Trollhunter and the King of Camelot.

"Dwoza trolls? How unfortunate for you. I suppose I could take my anger out on both of you for what your champion did to me." Gunmar snarled and grinned.

They gasped and held onto each other.

The blade drew near Luceña and she closed her eyes.

"I'll start with her, and then you, last."

The dark troll raised his blade in the air, ready to strike down. But before he could kill the green troll, Dictatious quickly jumped in front of her and yelled.

"Stop!"

He flinched when the blade was inches to his face.

"Please, don't kill us." He begged.

Luceña stared at Dictatious with wide eyes.

"And why shouldn't I? Go on, convince me why I shouldn't dismember your limbs and paint the walls with your blood?" Gunmar eagerly stated, giving Dictatious a chance to speak, but he needed to be cautious and careful with his words.

Within a few seconds, he formulated an idea, one that was risky, but if done correctly, it could save not just him but also Luceña.

He masked his fear and cleared his throat, and his expressions changed into a clever smirk.

"If you kill the two of us, who will be your guide to freedom? Think about it, you need advisers to help you. We will be loyal to you, and only to you. Anything you need from us, and we shall provide any assistance. And not only that, but I can help you get... insider information from the surface lands." Dictatious explained.

The other small troll stared in shock from what he said, insisting that they work for the enemy.

"And another thing, we can be your eyes and ears. We Conundrums are known to be very intelligent and have done so many technical and magical advancements. Do you think it will be wise to get rid of the only clever trolls who can be the key to your escape from this prison?"

The clever troll raised a brow as he stared at the dark troll.

Suddenly, there was tension between the two and Luceña was scared and knew that at any second, their lives would end.

Dictatious thought the plan might not work, but he made sure to not shift any of his features so as to not give away any weakness that could give an opportunity for the dark troll to end him and Luceña.

However, he felt relieved when Gunmar lowered his blade and contemplated, his expression pinched in thought of the smaller troll's words.

Then, he achieved his plan when the blade vanished and the dark troll crossed his arms.
