Another boring day in school, just like Crystal predicted. But learning about human digestion was something that made her snooze in class.
The only thing she could think about was what Barbara said a day ago, that she swore she saw a strange looking troll in her backyard, watching her as she fought a mud monster
It was definitely strange... and creepy.
She suddenly woke up when Claire nudged her arm.
"What?" Crystal muttered.
"You gotta stay awake or Coach Lawrence will catch you." The girl whispered.
Then that is when the two girls heard Steve making toilet humored jokes that made their eyes roll.
It got so annoying that Crystal spoke up.
"Hey, why don't you shut your hole, Steve?"
However, her hazy mind realized what she just said and face palmed with some of the students laughing at her unintentional comment.
"Oh, that's it. That's it, jokers! Both of you, principal's office, now!" The P.E. teacher yelled and pointed his finger at the door.
"You think you can out-poo-pun me, Crystie?" Steve teased her.
"Don't call me that, you piece of sh-"
"Crystal, getting into trouble again, I see." Strickler walks into the office, interrupting the girl and takes a seat at his desk.
"Ahem, Principal Strickler, this has been a huge misunderstanding." Steve spoke innocently.
Crystal glared at the man.
"You have a lot of nerve showing your face around here, Strickler." She angrily spoke, slamming her fist onto the desk.
"I've decided I'm not done with you. Your education has just begun." Strickler replied back, pointing his pen at her.
The tension began to grow and the two got up from their seats with Steve looking at them, confused.
"Oh, good. Maybe I'm a slow learner. Because I can't figure out why you'd come back after your big parade had been rained on." The girl clenched her jaws and fist.
"For the record, I just want to say she's not speaking on my behalf." Steve weakly spoke up.
"Shut up, Steve!"
Both Strickler and Crystal yelled at the teen, which made him yelp and stay quiet.
"I'm in a position to make your life truly miserable." The man stated.
"I could take you out right now." The girl clapped back.
"And I could do far worse. Are you ready for that?" He argued.
The two started a very intense staring competition, and the tension was on the brink of collapsing where all hell could break loose.
Steve looked back at one another, feeling the fear and tension between them and ultimately broke the terrifying silence.
"I'm sorry about the poop jokes! They really weren't that funny!" He whimpered, fear of getting in trouble.
"Detention. For both of you. Now get out of my office before I change my mind." Strickler firmly spoke and his eyes flashed red for a second, warning the other changeling.
The boy didn't notice as he immediately got up to leave the office, while Crystal flashed her own eyes at the man as also a warning and stormed out the room.
