It was the day of Aera's ballet recital. It was the first one of the year so she was a bit nervous, having to perform what she's learned in front of a huge audience. It was nerve racking to say the least, but she knew she was prepared and ready.

Her and Hanni share a solo together on stage, doing big jumps in the air past each other and landing perfectly. They practiced it so many times, it was almost like muscle memory.

Aera and the rest of the girls were warming up behind the curtains right now, preparing themselves for the big night.

Her, Dae, and Hanni sat out on the floor as they stretched. Aera was just finishing helping Hanni with her shoes, humming in the process.

"Two pink bows just for you", Aera grinned, wrapping cute little pink bows on her ballet shoes.

Hanni smiled in return, looking around before quickly landing a peck on the girls cheek. Aera gasped softly at the action, her face becoming red.
"Okay you lovebirds let's do breathing exercises now", Dae chuckled.
The three girls did all types of breathing methods to calm down their nerves, and it helped majorly.

Aera peeked her head out a bit to see people already gathered for the recital. She soon smiled brightly when she saw her parents, Elijah, and her aunt and uncles. They all waved at her with excitement, giving her a thumbs up and actions of encouragement. She laughed at their expressions, but was more than thankful.

Eventually, it was time for the recital to begin.

Each girl walked out onto the stage, petite and polite. Aera, Dae, and Hanni got into position right next to each other, putting on real but nervous smiles.

Music started to play and the girls danced along the stage, doing each move with passion. Her aunts and uncles watched fondly, especially Jimin and Armani. They were proud parents, watching their daughter move with so much love in her soul.

That's what it felt like when she was up there, her heart was filled with love and joy. But internally, she was also counting each move as she danced.

"She's amazing", Mani praised, smiling fondly.

Jimin grinned. "She is".

"Yah, how come no one is recording?", Jin whispered as he pulled out his phone.

"Your being such a mom, oppa", Jada chuckled.

Jin gasped. "How dare you".

"She has a point", Jungkook added.

Namjoon shushed everyone immediately. "Just watch the recital, guys".

It had finally came to Hanni and Aera's solo, every girl filing off the stage. Now it was just the two of them, their solo beginning. She counted each move or step in her head, a soft smile on her lips as she looked at Hanni. She loved how she danced with the same kind of passion, maybe even more than her.

Aera thought she looked the prettiest, the purest when dancing. How you could see joy practically melting off of her in each move she did.

Aera like to imagine that it was just them in the room. Just them, the music, and the stage. Dancing in each other's arms, laughing and smiling.

A happy moment.

It had gotten towards the end of their solo, the big finale. The two girls jumped into the air, twirling prettily in the process. They landed with stability, and posing as the song came to an end.

The huge audience clapped with excitement and satisfaction. Aera looked out to the crowd, seeing her family being her biggest cheerleaders out there. Hanni's parents clapped as well, huge smiles on their faces. She smiled, knowing they were very proud of her performance.

The two girls looked at each other as they stood there, smiling fondly at each other.

"We did good", Hanni mouthed. Aera grinned, nodding proudly.

After the show, Aera and Hanni walked out in comfier clothes, their ballet uniforms still peaking through. Their pinkies were intertwined with each other, not wanting to make it too obvious.

"Oh, there's my parents", Hanni pointed out, seeing her Appa and Eomma were standing there with a bunch of flowers for her. The two girls chuckled at the sight, letting go of each other's pinkies.

"I'll call you later okay?", Aera nodded with a soft smile. Hanni snuck a quick peck on her cheek before shyly walking over to her parents. Aera became shy herself as she walked over to her Jimin and Armani.

"You did amazing love, I guess you take after your Appa after all", Jimin praised.

"Wait you did ballet babe? How come you never told me?", Armani asked with surprise in her tone.

"Eh", Jimin chuckled. "It was whenever I was younger so I didn't think I was that good".

"I think a bronze medal at the age of 15 is pretty good, hyung", Jungkook teased. Jimin nudged him in the shoulder playfully.

"Anyways", Namjoon chuckled. "How about we celebrate with some ice cream?".

"Yay! Can we go to that one shop down the street?", Elijah asked with hope in his eyes.

Aera nodded with a grin, ruffling her brother's hair. "Yes we can, bub".

Everyone went out for the ice cream shortly after, enjoying their time together as a family.

They enjoyed moments like this. Laughing and talking to each other, it was rare to have such an enjoyable night. Everyone was always busy, time getting the best of them sometimes.

"So, are you gonna tell me about your friend?", Jada asked as she wiggled her eyebrows, taking a bite of her ice cream.

Aera's eyes widened at her aunts words, realizing what she meant. "You...You saw?".

Jada hummed, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "But hey, it's our secret okay? You can come out about it whenever you're ready to", she said quietly as Armani and Jimin weren't sitting too far away from them.

Aera smiled with relief, glad her aunt would keep her secret.
