Aera was sitting in her English class at the moment, having to write a personal narrative about herself.

The things she loved to do, her purposes and beliefs, life-changing experiences, things like that. It was new for Aera, she's never had to open up about such detailed things before.

She took in a breath, starting to type away on her laptop. This was a long-term assignment. Maybe in the back of her head, it felt like more than that. When Aera looked past high school, she thought about more.
She didn't want to have the normal jobs young adults want to have after graduating. She wanted to project people from the bad in the world, even if that meant risking her own.

She wanted to be apart of Mafia, just like her Appa. She would never tell anyone that though, she would face major judgment. Saying that she wanted to kill people for shits and giggles.

She didn't know how her mama would react, her brother, her Appa, her uncles and aunt. But if it was something she wanted to do with her life, they should be happy for her right? Support her through and through?

Even then, she couldn't believe in her own words that went through her head.

It was her Junior year, she had to confess to it at some point or else she would be following a passion she had no interest in.

And the pretending would kill her.

"And then you have to do the opposite of addition to get the variable by itself", Mani explained to Elijah. She thought since he had the day off from school, she could help him with math homework.

Elijah followed her directions, solving the problem by himself now.

In the process, the doorbell from the front door rang.

"Oh! That must be your uncles and aunt JJ", Mani said as she went to answer the door.

She opened the door to see Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jada at the door with bags of takeout in their hands. She greeted each of them with hugs, Elijah being tackled with kisses to the cheek and a bunch of hugs. Armani explained to them how rough of a first day he had at school, so they wanted to come and cheer him up.

"How are you doing? Holding up okay?", Jada asked the boy as she gave him one more hug.
"I'm doing okay, aunt JJ", Elijah smiled. "You guys didn't have to come though".

"Aish, don't talk such nonsense", Taehyung chuckled, ruffling the boys hair.
"We'll come see you any day, bud", Jungkook smiled, doing the same.

They all sat in the living room, eating takeout and talking. Elijah was being more talkative, and it made Mani happier than ever. That was the boy she loved seeing the most.

"And I remember you used to run around the house naked after I gave you baths", Armani confessed, making everyone laugh.

"Mama", the boy slightly whined, soon laughing himself. He's always had vivid memories like that himself, even ones with his sister. When they used to run around the backyard playing with water balloons during the summer. Or play hop scotch at the park as Jimin and Armani watched them with fond smiles.

He loved looking back at those moments, and he would always smile to himself at how lucky he felt to have a sister like her. A sister he could still be a little kid around.

"Oh babe, didn't you say you had something for him?", Jada questioned Taehyung.

"Ah, thank you for reminding me", he chuckled, pulling a small box from his pocket.

"I have one for your sister as well, but I hope you like it bud", He grinned as Elijah opened it.

He gasped softly, seeing a bracelet with a E in the middle and a red Spider-Man web right beside it. The boy asked his mama to help him it on with excitement written in his voice. Now he had something to join the many rings he wore on his fingers.

"Thank you uncle Tae Tae!", he exclaimed, tackling his uncle in a big hug.

"You're welcome, buddy", Tae replied, flashing his boxy grin. Seeing how he was with nephew made Jungkook and Jada smile fondly.

They almost couldn't help but imagine him with kids of their own.

Aera had just gotten out of school for the day, and now she was heading to ballet practice with Dae. She had been doing ballet with her since middle school, enjoying every little moment of it. Sometimes when they were the first ones to get there, they would eat or stretch as they talked about the most random things.

Like they were now, sitting down on the wooden floor with their lunch bags open and padding the insides of their ballet shoes.

Dae helped wrap the light pink ribbon around Aeras shoes, giggling as she messed up the last three times. The did a mini celebration when she finished, Aera helping with hers as well.

"Hey Dae, can I have advice on something?".

"Shoot away", Dae hummed as she wrapped the girl work her magic with her shoes.

"If I wanted to do something after high school that maybe isn't everyone's ideal thing to do, how should I approach my parents about it?".

"Mhm", Dae thought about it for a moment, taking in the question. Though, Aera knew Dae gave the best advice.

"Well Aera", she sighed. "I'm not sure how your parents are about your future and all that, but I do know they should support you in any direction you wanna take yourself in. Sure, it may not be their cup of tea but who cares? Your following your dreams and your doing you", Dae shrugged.

Aera nodded with understanding. She knew at some point she would have to open up about what she wanted to do with her future. Just the thought of seeing her parent's reaction scares her.

A 16 year old being apart of the mafia? It's never been done before.

And that itself sent Aera into a deep spiral.
