Michelle was on her way to see Fabiënne for a project that they've planned to work on. Earlier, it took a lot from her to leave her girlfriend, whose naked body was draped over her, sleeping soundly.

When she gently tried to slip off the bed, Ann stirred, only to tighten her hold. "Where are you going? Stay."

Oh, she wanted so much to stay in the room with her and ditch her former roommate, but she didn't want to be rude and be unprofessional even if Fabiënne knew Ann came to see her.

"I have to get ready, baby." She whispered, kissing the top of Ann's head. "Let me go."

Anntonia opened her eyes and stared at her girlfriend. Though Michelle's words didn't have any other meaning, it was playful, but Ann couldn't stop the hurt registered in her chest.

Maybe because after everything that happened the past weeks, it scared Anntonia that Michelle would leave her. Feeling like she almost did when she told her about the incident with Irfan, before she hung-up on her on the phone, when she didn't say what she wanted to say.

"You know- never mind."

Ann felt like Michelle was about to break-up with her then. The hopelessness she had felt when the line went silent, knowing that her love wasn't on the other line anymore.

It was something she'd regretted, and the radio silence was difficult, almost as if it would kill her when she did not hear from Michelle for seven days.

"You know I can't do that." She lamented, and Michelle frowned at the sudden turn from being playful to Ann's serious tone.

"Baby, what are you talking about? I was talking about getting ready for tonight's event."

"I know. Sorry for being such a bummer. But since it's for a project and with Fabiënne, I'll let you. Don't worry about me. I'm still gonna be here when you come back."

Michelle let it slide for now. She could feel Ann's words had a deeper meaning than what it's supposed to be. So she did what in her mind was the best thing to do to reassure her girlfriend.

"I'll come back as soon as I can." She promised, meeting Ann's lips for a kiss. She held the girl's face as she deepened it. "Then we'll talk. I have something to tell you."

See, Anntonia hated that. When someone tells you they had to tell you something but not right away, it makes her anxious.

"Can't you just tell me now?"

The short-haired girl bumped their nose together and rested her forehead against Ann's. She chuckled.

"Still so impatient, I see. But it's nothing important, love. It can wait, but right now, I really have to go take a shower."

Ann burrowed her nose on Michelle's neck before leaving a trail of soft kisses up to her jawline.

"Hmm.. I think you still smell so good, baby."

That made Michelle giggle, smirking at her girl, playfully narrowing her eyes at her.

"I think you're just saying that because I still smell like you."

Anntonia's lips quirked upward, "and that's a bad thing because?"

Michelle knew her girlfriend was just trying to prolong their moment, but she couldn't complain. Had she known Ann had the time to go see her, she should've booked an extra day for them to spend together.

"It's not a bad thing. I love that I still smell like you. But I also smell like sex-"

Her girlfriend gasped, poking Michelle's on her side.
