I was stunned to say the least. I don't really like Dumbledore all that much. That biscuit let James and Lily die and was always so selfish. I quietly went back in the hall and spotted Hermione as I sat down next to her. She bombarded me with tons of questions. "Where have you been?" "What did you talk to Professor McGonagall about?" "You missed the ceremony, which house are you in?"
"Hermione, calm down...calm down...I'll answer you, hold on... Along with Ron and Harry please Hermione." I said that and looked at her dead in the eye. Wrong move... She could tell it was something serious and was giving me looks the whole meal. And not gonna lie, it KINDA creeped me out. I tried to ignore her and looked around, like I couldn't see her. Just then I saw Draco looking at me, confused. As if he and the 'FiLtHy LiTtLe MuDbLoOd' were sharing the same brain and thoughts at that time. I continued eating trying to pay no mind to these smartass idiots (ok well that sounded wrong) hoping they won't figure out that something was suspicious about what had just happened.
I zoned out when the headmaster was giving his speech. My train of thoughts was stopped on the station of whether Cedric was better looking than Draco. Not for me to figure out I guess. I will definitely ask this question to Hermione. We had our meal, after which Percy came and asked us to start moving towards the Gryffindor tower. We had to listen to the Fat Lady screamin- I mean singing for a whole minute and then came the dreaded moment for me......SLEEP.
The last few weeks that I have come to this world, my sleep was disturbed by countless nightmares. Well, it's more of a singular nightmare...Every night I dream about falling through an endless void of eternal darkness, like I am meant to remember something. It's painful to say the least. Waking up again and again, sweating, agitated and hesitant to not even move to drink water.
In the mansion I was living in, nobody would have minded me turning the lights on, holding something as I woke up and took loud huffs of air. But now, it was quite different. Not ready to face the pain, I decided to wait in the common room for Harry and Ron, while they made their way to Hogwarts from a very eventful car ride.
I waited patiently for my dorm mates to fall asleep and quietly headed down to the common room. I may have stolen the book that was on the table but who cares. It was quite interesting honestly. And now, we wait.
Next morning
I woke up to someone shaking me vigorously. I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision. It was Hermione in front me, almost screaming at me to wake up. I groaned but eventually compiled and got up to put on my robes.
My mind was really peaceful for some reason. No idea why. This thought had me staring in the mirror for like 20 minutes before it hit me. I dragged Hermione along with me to the boy's side of the tower, and banged on the door. Harry was surprisingly the one to open it. He looked at me and then at Hermione and for some reason ran away...?... 'I guess I'll just ask him later'. I shrugged and asked Hermione if she wanted to go have breakfast. She looked at me confused but eventually we started heading down. I could tell that the fact that I didn't have any nightmares yesterday had something to do with Harry. He avoided me during the duration of the whole breakfast. But what do I always say when I have a problem?.... It is what it is.
We eventually got done with a few classes and Harry had quidditch practice. Me, Hermione and Ron didn't really have anything to do so we just went with him. As soon as I saw the the Slytherin team were about to cross paths with us, I knew exactly in which scene we were. 'Oh boy... '
I was standing amongst the tall as* players nervous and then I heard something which will quite literally scar Hermione later on. "No one asked your opinion, you filthy little mudblood".
I could sense the venom seeping through his voice; I looked at him with some sadness in my eyes. I knew Draco's character is shown good later on, but being called someone with some kind of bad blood, will hurt anyone. That was when Draco noticed me, and it looked like all the blood had drained out from his face. He took a small step towards me and I moved away. It pained me to see him like that, cause somehow he genuinely looked sad.
"Eat slugs." I heard Ron say and we all know what happens next.
I saw the trio heading to Hagrid's hut, so I took this golden opportunity and asked Draco to me in the library. I had no ill intent, I just wanted to talk to him about this, maybe it will help beat some sense into him. He reluctantly agreed, gave me a small smile and went along with his team.
I paced down the hill and reached the hut. That was when I saw Hermione crying and pulled her into a hug. The boys in the tiny hut were trying to console her for quite some time. I wanted to say something, but they continued blabbering and I visbily screamed with my eyes, asking them to shut up.
"Hermione, don't you every worry what anyone says to you. You know that he was just saying that cause he knew what you said was true. Tell you what, next time when you feel angry at him, I'll hold him so you can punch him straight on his face." She looked at me in disbelief and started laughing when the other two also joined us. "I'll take your word for it." She wiped her tears and hugged me back. When she felt better, Harry informed us about the detention for the flying car incident. I didn't really care much, I mean apart from the forbidden forest, what's a worse detention. Oh wait...I forgot, he has to sit with Lockhart. Huff, Harry I feel bad for you.
We chatted with Hagrid for a while, and headed back to the dorm rooms. Me and Hermione bid the two boys good bye and good luck with detention and laid on the bed. Wait....It feels like I'm forgetting something...
I DIDN'T ASK HARRY IF HE DID ANYTHING TO CONTROL MY NIGHTMARES YESTERDAY!!!
'There's something else also which I want to ask.....It's eating my mind, and draining my brain. juices, so I need to figure something out, or just straight up ask him'.
I mean, it wasn't time to go to sleep, so I asked Hermione if she wanted to go out for a walk. Knowing her, I thought she'd say no but apparently she is bored sooo, there's that. We even asked Ron to join us. As we were roaming around the halls we saw Harry walking around with his ear to the wall. 'Shid, I just remembered that he will hear the voices and now the petrification will start'. We headed towards Harry and asked him what was wrong, cause well I can't tell them I know obviously.
"Harry! Are you ok? What are you doing here?" Hermione asked.
"Shh, do you hear that... It sounds like someone is whispering something.."
"Harry...There is no sound here whatsoever, are you ok?..."
"It's going that way...It going to kill."
Welp that's chapter 3....
Next chapter is definitely better then this one. Trust me.
