"you don't always have to bring me stuff when we see each other." alex spoke, smiling as she looked through the plastic bag at her kitchen counter.  sakusa struggled, pulling his mask off.

"why not?  i know what you like, so i get it." she pulled her favorite candy out, smiling like a kid in a candy store.

"you know me so well i could marry you." she giggled, scurrying away to put the things where they go.  he smiled softly, loving her enthusiastic manor.

"i mean, hey, that doesn't sound too bad." kiyoomi made his way to her familiar couch, sitting and man spreading.  she stared at him from the counter, hands pressed against it.

"we should fuck." alex said blandly, making sakusa whip his head around to her.

"you're a little fiesty today." he chuckled, rubbing his hands against his sweats.  "not now, but you know i'll spend the night."

alex nodded with a smile, walking over to him and sitting closely.  he instinctually wrapped his arm over her shoulders, rubbing her arm on the other side.

"can i talk to you about something?" he hummed in response, looking at her.  she sighed, looking away.  "look, i know we're not together, but i feel like you should know."

his eyebrow raised, heart pounding a little more.  "i hung out with suna last night, as we always do.  but, he had me smoke for my first time and i actually liked it, but he was flirting with me the whole time and it was just weird and off-putting to me.  he told me how "perfect my ass was", and then after awhile it was really late and i wasn't high anymore and.. i had went to his room to see if he was up and, i ended up walking in on him jerking off..?"

sakusa stared at her, nodding slowly.  her head turned away, cringing at the thought of the next part.  "he ended up calling me back into his room and he started reminding me that we weren't even sharif and you were at a party and all this shit, and then he actually kissed me?  but i stopped him and told him i wasn't attracted to him at all.  he was like, confused that i didn't want him, like that was a foreign concept.  but anyway, i just really thought it would've been something you wanted to know."

sakusa was quiet for awhile, trying to process it.  he was surprised she wanted to tell him.  he was also feeling proud in a way, that even though they weren't together she was loyal to him.

"thank you for being honest.  did you want me to say anything to him about it?"  she shook her head quickly, sakusa just nodding.

the pair sat there watching tv, alex twisting one of his curls around her finger.  she looked over at him as he stared at the show, admiring his features.  she kisses his cheek softly, then a few one his jawline.

she pulled away to plant one on his neck, peering at a purpleish-red mark on his neck.  she frowned, pulling at his collar with instinct.  she saw a few more on his upper collar bone, making her frown deepen.

sakusa looked at her, making eye contact as he did so.  "hm?"

"so you're just letting other girls kiss on your neck and shit?" he raised his eyebrows at her tone, taken aback.  he went to say something, nothing coming out.  alex rolled her eyes now having an attitude.

she stood up, shaking her head.  "don't think you're gonna touch me while you're fucking on other girls.  i'm not dirty and i don't want whatever they got.  matter of fact, just go home.  i don't want you to spend the night or even touch me."

sakusa stood slowly, putting his things in his pockets.  he felt ashamed, knowing he was wrong.  she followed behind him to the door, face a shade of red from anger.

"alex, i'm sorry.  i promise i didn't do anything but make-out."

she rolled her eyes.  "just get out.  how are you a germaphobe and acting dirty?  i don't even know, but you're weird."

he walked out, barely making it before she slammed the door shut.

________

over the next few days, there was distance between alex and the group. sakusa didn't mention their disagreement to any of the guys from nights ago, even though they had seen the hickeys. suna hadn't been around any of the guys either.

today was the boys game day, all of them hyped. besides sad little kiyoomi. he sat in the locker room, staring at his shoes.

"omi," atsumu spoke, putting a hand on his shoulder. "what's wrong?"

"i miss her a lot." he spoke with no hesitation, atsumu taken aback.

"alex?" he nodded, rubbing his face aggressively. atsumu smirked behind his friend. "it's okay, you'll see her soon."

"yeah, i hope." he stood, frowning. he fixed his uniform, muscles bulging throughout the whole thing.

they all walked together to the court, waiting on the sidelines. he looked around with his arms crossed, listening as the other team was announced and their cheerleaders.

alex was waiting in the other hallway, waiting to run out with all of the other girls. she was nervous, not only this was her first time cheering since high school, but their uniforms were incredibly skimpy.

"now, it's time to welcome home our nationals!!!" the cheerleaders ran out waving their pom poms and yelling, the players running behind them.

the girls got in their selective windows, all with their hands on the hips and the fakest smiles. the boys surveyed the court, captains shaking hands.

sakusa glanced over at the cheerleaders, eyes going wide to the one in the middle of the front row. "holy fucking shit."

"i told you you'd see her soon!" tsumu came behind him, smacking him on the back.

"atsumu." they looked at each other, deadpanned. "im rock hard i cant move." atsumu cackled, bending over. "i'm serious man i'm full brick right now."

"you'll be fine." atsumu gave his friend his douchebag smile, walking away to his window.

'you've got to be fucking joking.'

the game begun, sakusa keeping his composure. one thing he knew, he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. every break he had his eyes were on her, giving her a pleading look.
