alex was empty without sakusa.  she missed his voice and his touch.  she missed texting him, or him showing up randomly.  she constantly fought with herself on whether on not she should apologize, but she knew she shouldn't.

she didn't want to have to eat shit once again just to have him around.

she sat in her room studying, music playing quietly.  she had been on her a-game with all of her classes lately, having nothing else to focus on.

she had stopped cheer temporarily due to a pre-existing injury.  her life felt like it was on hold all of a sudden.

nothing felt the same lately.  she didn't really hear from anyone too much.  she felt as if a side got chosen without there needing to be.

alex sighed, clicking her pen as she finished her notes.  a muffled knock sounded at her front door, making her heart jump.

she kept the music going not to let the person know she heard, quietly exiting her room.  she pressed her hands gently against the door, leaning into it to peek into the peep hole.

a familiar pair of twins stood there, both seeming to be bickering with the other.  she bit her bottom lip to hold her giggles in, stepping away slowly.  she sighed, knowing she should open the door.

she unlocked and opened it slowly, giving them a shy smile.  "hi guys."

"alexxxxx." atsumu smiled big, instantly pulling her into a huge hug.  she hugged back, patting his back while chuckling.

"oh brother." osamu spoke, rubbing his temples.  "he missed you a lot for some reason."

"you guys could have came by any time?" she laughed, a questioning tone apparent.

"oh, well," atsumu pulled away. "i thought you didn't want to be bothered because you were sad."

"who told you i was sad?" she crossed her arms, leaning against the doorframe.

"sakusa said you guys had gotten into an argument so i just assumed you would be sad."

"atsumu do you ever think you should shut up sometimes?" osamu pulled his brother back, slapping the back of his head.

"hey!" atsumu shoved him, alex sighing.

"okay.  i'll admit, i've been sad.  but you could've came by, i would've preferred someone coming by at least." she looked between the two, atsumu frowning, osamu just giving her an apologetic look.  "anyways.. i have to get back to what i was doing.  it was nice seeing yous though."

"wait.  can omi come by later today to talk?" atsumu asked, giving her a pleading tone.

she gave him a blank stare, a weird feeling surging through her body.  she shut the door quietly without a response, locking it and heading back to her safe space.

"i guess she really doesn't wanna see him."

"you think you idiot??"
