SAKUSA AWOKE THE NEXT MORNING, FEELING GROGGY AND disoriented. his head was banging, a result of his alcohol consumption the night before.

it was now the day before game day.  he sat up some, sighing before checking the time on his phone.  it was 1 o 'clock, meaning he well overslept.

he got up, stretching.  the conversation between him and alex from previous hours flooded his head, a deep frown forming on his lips.

he walked out of his room, hearing the guys talking loudly in the living room.  he sighed once more, making his way to everyone.

they all looked at him, getting extremely quiet.  he looked at everyone with a puzzled expression.  "yo."

they all continued looking, sakusa looking between everyone confused.  "so what am i not allowed in here or something you're all looking at me like i got 3 heads."

"omi, you're not gonna be happy." atsumu spoke, sakusa frowning.

"and why would that be atsumu." he groaned, rubbing the bridge of his nose with his eyes shut.

"alex uhh.." his eyes opened at her name, looking to the blonde.  "alex had oikawa take her to the airport this morning, she took all of her things and left.  said she had no purpose of being here with us." sakusa stood there in shock (for the millionth time), blinking slowly.

"we all tried to tell her to stay because the games tomorrow and we need her there, but she just said we'd do just fine without her and she wanted to be home." hinata spoke, frowning.

sakusa speed walked away to her room, quickly opening the door.  the bed was made neatly, the dresser tops were empty, there was no sign of the girl he became so close to.

he stood there, heart pounding deep in his chest.  he continued to scan the room, completely shocked as to everything that happened.

he walked in slowly, closing the door.  he sat on the bed, letting his head hang.  his mind raced with every single thought possible.

he wanted to text her.  but, if she was on a plane, there'd be no response for hours, until she was able to land.

he laid back on the bed, hearing what sounded like paper crumple beneath his back.  he moved some, grabbing the piece of paper and laying back down.

Kiyoomi,
I've went back home.  I have no purpose of being here with you all at this point, or apart of your friend group.  I'm safe and taken care of, I'm a big girl so don't worry about me.  I hope your game is amazing, and I know how good you're going to do.
I love you Koomi, I wish we didn't have to end this way.  Even though there was nothing to even end, I guess.  I hope you can change and treat whoever is next better.

Lexi

he stared at it, biting his bottom lip as it began to tremble.  his chest began to burn, as he became overwhelmed with emotions.

hot tears began to spew from the corners of his eyes as he flipped over, putting his face on the covers.

'it even smells like her still.'

sakusa began to cry, for the first time since his pre-teen to teenage years.  his heart broke, into millions of pieces as he sobbed.

she was his, alex was his girl.  she was everything, from breathtaking to extremely generous and even funny.  she was everything and more to him, and somehow he managed to throw it all away.

they didn't even have anything to end, yet it was over.

whatever they had, was over.
