[3rd POV]
-----------------//-]The sound of collapsing rubble and burning was immense, leaving no room for the cries of anguish and terror that cascaded beneath the thick streams of tar-like smog. The world seemed desolate and barren, creaks and ravines filled with scorching magma and fire.
Mountains could be witnessed arching in the backdrop, their once-magnified tips laying crooked amongst the rubble of a once-proud civilisation. The nearby houses were nothing but craters, small posts of metal and old wiring to indicate that something had once been there.
From the ashes, a lone man could be seen. An alien man, whose entire life -his pride and joy- had been forcefully stripped away from him in the blink of an eyes. He could see nothing of what he had worked so hard to build, not one house, bridge, or person remained standing among the remnants of collapsing architecture.
Even himself, forcefully pinned down to the earth with nothing but a rod of metal, could not stand up. There was no solace in his continued existence. He would rather be joining the rest of his people in the comfort of slumber, if only to feel the warm embrace of those he had lost. The solace in such memories were immediately forced down when the sensation of agony came thrashing down upon him, taking the form of a crimson-shaded beam of Ki.
The man screamed, blood ushering from his mouth and the freshly-opened wound, before the lone figure he'd feared to be came into view. They loomed within their own creation -- thick ash-ridden clouds accompanied by the tall fires, brought upon their people by a single man. No, that would not be the correct term to use for this individual in front of him. They appeared too young to be fully grown.
A mere child, marble-coloured scales and vibrant eyes that beamed with harsh crimson, loomed above him using the rubble he himself had forged on his path of destruction. It seemed unorthodox, leaving a child alone to cause such a mass devastation, but the remaining alien could not give harsh criticism; the child was successful in his mission.
The small creature looked upon the man. He seemed to consider something, his stance faltering at the image of such a pitiful man, brought down to his lowest point by ferocity and needless carnage. The child pondered this, their eyes flashing between a state of harsh narrow and disbelieving of the destructive brought by their hands.
He seemed to hesitate, clambering away from the sight, but there would be no hesitation from the towering man who formed behind them from the mist. Their muscled visage appeared in all its intimidating glory, black horns decorating their jewel-adorned head. The closer such a monster approached, the easier it was to make out the sadistic, and approving, grin that plastered their face.
King Cold: "Come now, Nitrate. You have come this far, it would be a waste to leave the job unfinished."
The child -Nitrate- looked towards the hulking figure with an aura of indecision. He peered down towards the man, pierced by the tod and left at his mercy, before stating at the collective ball of Ki that continued shimmering within his paled finger. The world seemed to freeze, new sights and smells violating their senses at the most extremes. It proved almost too much to bear, the child gagging.King Cold stared down at his eldest, a frown beginning to shape on his face. The King of the Universe kneeled down until he was mere inches past the height of his son, and then placed both hands on either shoulder. Nitrate froze, eyes widening at the sudden touch. The King grinned at the boy's reaction, madness dancing in his wicked gaze.
King Cold: "Look around you my son... The destruction... The flames.... The death... Do you truly think sparing but one measly little insect will cleanse this sin? Of course it wont, dear boy. So, what is the point in offering mercy?"
