A/N: Hello readers! How goes the first extended weekend of the year? I hope you all have had enough fun, watched a movie or two and are bracing up for work/school to start from tomorrow? Well, this chapter is of course the interim between a great weekend & a busy week ahead and I hope to entertain you with this, like every other weekend!
I have to tell you readers, there is something about this story, that I don't have the heart to end it. Every time I think, after this sequence we will move to the last segment, something tells me to add a facet more, which keeps increasing the chapter. I don't know about you all, but I can't have enough of this story myself ;P
Anyway, the goss is that currently I am entrenched in writing a particularly "interesting" part of the story, and as much as I want to share a thing or two about it, I won't do so, it will spoil your reading experience, so shutting my blabbering mouth, I will let you read this chapter now!
Don't forget the lovely in-line comments and votes!
Happy Reading, se you on the other side!

"Uff, Manik, why don't you discuss your moves with us, before acting on them? It's not like you're the brightest bulb in the family!" snapped Shrikant in an irritated voice over the call. Manik rolled his eyes in disgust, but kept mum. His father had called to demand an explanation about the whole Nandini-Karan condom ad pull back situation, and Manik had stuck on to his script.
"I thought Rose was the new game, how would I make it more obvious in public?" Manik snapped at his father.
"No, no son, you are not entirely wrong, we are at fault too here..we should have informed you of our action. This wouldn't have happened then.." came Shamsher Malhotra's thoughtful voice from the other end of the phone. Manik stiffened. They had a hand in Nandini's ad, how?
"Meaning?" Manik asked quickly, unable to hide the shock in his voice.
"Ah, look at you, getting all worked up over the safety of that girl you have a small affair with..it's cute" drawled Shamsher's amused voice.
"Please, I am serious." Manik replied stiffly.
"Dad meant, we should have informed you that we got Nandini that ad for her. If you didn't stop that ad, we all know how that'd vilify her image.." Shrikant answered on behalf of his father this time.
Manik flipped. "What the hell? I thought we had a deal. You both weren't going to harm Nandini! I was going to stay away from her after this movie, why the hell are you double crossing me?" Manik hurled, furiously over the phone.
"Oh, don't be such a drama queen, son" Shamsher Malhotra's irritated voice stopped Manik. "We weren't killing her, right? Then how did we break your promise? Plus do you remember your promise? You were to get Nandini away from showbiz! I didn't see you taking any concrete step towards that direction, and now when I asked Shrikant to do the job you were meant to do, you start flipping at your old man? If you had let the ad stay, we both know it could work against her and eventually drive her out of the industry & she'd be gone from your life for good. That's all. That's why we ensured she got that endorsement deal. We were helping you, son; and there you are, wasting all our efforts by taking that ad off air with your stupid plan to woo that Rose woman, publicly."
"Woah, how did I not see this? Nandini is too new to get an endorsement deal. It was always you.." Manik sighed. "Anyway, I do happen to have a plan to get rid of Nandini from the movies. For that you have to let the shoot wrap and not do anything to disturb it. Then I will unleash my plan. Can you both hold onto an iota of faith in me, until then?" he urged.
