Amane's P.O.V.
I walked out of Urokodaki's house deep in thought.
'She was only 18. She had her whole life ahead of her and then was thrust into this world only to have her family taken from her and almost dying herself at 12. No one should have to go through that much trauma. She may be technically 30 age-wise, but physically she is still a child. Every girl needs a female figure in their life that they can go to talk to and help them with anything they need. And if I can be that for her, I will. But I won't push her, it's her decision.'
"Are you alright dear? You're quiet." Kagaya asked slightly concerned as I came up to him and took his arm in mine and relieved Tomioka so he could walk in front of us.
"I'm alright my love. Just thinking over what has just been told to us." I said as we started heading back home.
"Alright. If you don't mind me asking, what did you go back to talk with Nezuko about?" Kagaya asked.
"I wanted to give my condolences about what has happened to her. I also told her if she ever needed anyone to talk to, that I'd be there to listen and don't hesitate to write to me. I also asked her a few questions about her past life."
"I see. I'm glad, I could sense that Nezuko is carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders. Having someone to talk to will help. What did you ask her?"
"Just what past name and age was when the accident happened. She was only 18 when her life changed forever for the first time. I can only imagine what Kiara must have felt when she woke up in a slightly unknown world and then had her family ripped from her 12 years later. No one should have to go through that. If I can be there for her, I will be. She'll also need a female figure to talk to every once in a while. And if she wants, I will be that for her." I told him sincerely.
"That is very kind of you Amane dear. I don't doubt she was very touched by your offer. I'm guessing Kiara is her name," Kagaya said.
"Yes," I confirmed.
Nezuko's P.O.V.
I could hear what Amane was telling Kagaya. My heart warmed at what I was hearing. She's right I'm going to need a woman I can talk to, and Amane seems like the perfect person. She'll be able to understand some things that men won't be able to. And if she ever needs someone to talk to as well, I'll be there for her too.
I decided to let Urokodaki know that the others had left. So I wrote a quick note and gave it to his Kasugai Crow to bring to him.
The boys will be back soon, so I decided to start making lunch for the three of us. I didn't want Urokodaki to be the only one doing the cooking. I might not have to eat food anymore but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the taste of food and not help out. I won't eat food all the time so we can save ingredients but today I want to eat something, so I'm going to make enough for all three of us.
'Wait... Tanjiro and his sense of smell. He'll be able to tell that people have been here. Let's hope that the smell of food masks the others' scent.'
I started making some vegetable stew and rice. I had just finished the rice when I heard the boys were almost here. When they made it to the house the stew had just finished.
"Welcome back," I said jovially still slightly nervous about Tanjiro possibly smelling the others' scents.
"Hey, Nezuko," Tanjiro said and came up to hug me. I hugged him back.
"Did you cook?" Urokodaki asked.
"Yes, I made vegetable stew and rice. I didn't want you to be the only one to be doing the cooking." I said. "I hope that's alright," I said nervously.
